The preparation took the most time - stripping the old layer off (I think it was a vinyl type covering) and the glue before starting with the paint process. Don't know how many hours it totalled up to be, I just made mental note not to do it again!

I obtained a couple of old ones (could try your luck on freecycle or gumtree) that I stripped down and painted with speciality paints. It took more hours than I care to remember (and I would not do again) and as they are old not all the latches work and one (despite all my various efforts) still has...

Holes will have to be cut out for light switches and GPOs. That would be a start to seeing if what is behind the plaster board is as expected.

Depends how you use your kitchen - for my own kitchen we only use the microwave for a few tasks, thus was not needed in the main area of the kitchen. Also as we required the basic functions of a microwave, rather than pay into the 4 figures for a built in/browning functions etc a cheap counter top o...

To the OP - if you are still looking, I know of several high end brands whose vinyls that don't look like vinyls (and have specified them), however they can only be purchased through a designer.

The LED light I'm using is with a profile and diffuser bought before the cabinets were made, supplied to the cabinet maker so they could make the rebate to the size of the profile supplied, which then the profile/led is fitted on site.

One of my suppliers has 280cm wide, but these are only sold to trade and by the roll. Given size I doubt fabric retailers would stock it, but I could be wrong. I don't have that as a default stock and my linings are only sold as part of window treatments I create. Maybe you could try a local blind/c...

Depending on dimensions if it would work, one option is shallower drawers main section (storage for items like cooking utensils, herbs, foil/glad wrap) and 2 deeper ones mathing those below the ovens

Another advantage of lounge nearer to kitchen, that it is more social-able with those cooking and those in the lounge area (if not engrossed by the tv/games console), then when the meal is ready everyone moves to the dining area. If you have the out door area set up as dining, then if you have large...

Like the engineered stone, pricing varies depending on finish with the marble effect at the top end. From memory on the pricing it is around or more expensive than engineered stone, and y...

Even with people in the industry there are polar opinions on this subject. A combination of the some goods in Australia being considerably more than other places around the world and the laws in this country allowing 'replicas'/'copies', in addition to the cost to register designs even before a desi...

As a rental property I can't see it attracting any more rent with a double shower, however as a landlord, double the showerheads, plumbing, draining etc doubles the amount of things to go wrong and cost you maintenance. Why have the downside without any upside? Agree to have doorless showerscreen if...

I certainly think there is room for improvement: as suggested I agree eliminate middle door and wall, move hinge to other side for outdoor to laundry door, put door or concealed door between 'pass' and assume I hallway. I can't say with certainty (as not all measurements are there) or spending time ...

I would consider moving the linen tall cupboard to the left of the sink, that way it does not block light to sink area (dependant on orientation, given the size of the window probably more of minor point), but also with a counter going to that corner as you enter you can have something there as a fo...

If the internal bath shape is an oval/symmetrical, especially if the bath is designed that you can sit in the bath facing either way or have a bath for 2, then in the middle. If it is freestanding bath then taps in the middle wall mounted will reach the bath best (ie at its widest point) and general...
