Saw a supplier with them; looks like an easy DIY job. Then also found the rubber coin dot interlocking tiles, which might be even better. Will take a look in the shop and compare. Thanks for the tip.

Are these using marine carpet? How do they performed long term; my recollection of carpet tiles from the past wasn't good, as the edges would lift and create a trip hazard.

We are looking for a durable flooring for a work area which is also used for exercise bikes. Would like a flooring that can potentially be hose out, but also be soft underfoot. Rubber floors was suggested, but how easy to clean are they? The other suggestion was thicker vinyl; how water resistant is...

My biggest bug bear with all these devices is being multiple apps, haven't found one good hub yet that works with everything which is a pain You might be able to use ImperiHome to have all controls in one place, but personally I use a Vera Edge, which has Apps for my Sonos, Yamaha Amp and various o...

Our Sonos installations, bar one, are all hidden, as I'm using the equivalent of 1 x Connect, 4 x Connect:Amp and 1 x Play:5 (the only visible one). I've hidden them in cupboards with other media equipment (most equipment use BT or WiFi via apps, although I have an IR Blaster for others). Only one i...

Don't really have a problem with the shower drying because the rest of the bathroom is heated; usually dries under 4 hours. The builder in our case wasn't keen for some reason, although it should all be sealed.

We have the Coldbuster, now 4+ years, and wouldn't do without it. So much better than other heating system we have tried. The time does weekday and weekend programs; we have it running mainly on off-peak power weekedays, turning off at 7am, and it keeps warm to the evening, when it comes on again at...

Just measured our Caesarstone benchtop; it's 3010mm long. The only warranty issue we had was the overhang, which we solved by going 30mm thick slab for a 400mm overhang. So far very happy with it after 4 years; wearing well, no long term staining even with tumeric.

The Tip-On didn't add much more from memory. The problem with flush mount drawers and cupboards is they are harder to do right; any discrepancy is immediately visible as there are no handles or shadowline to break up the surface. FWIW, we have another system in the our en suite, and the system isn't...

We went through the same decision process. We ended up with 3 drawers on one side because: 1) Didn't want to open 2 drawers to get to the inner drawer, which, in our case, was going to be the cutlery drawer. 2) We needed somewhere to place a power point as well as a switch for the induction stove (t...

I'm looking for a Zanthoxylum piperitum (Japanese Pepper, or Sansho) plant, ideally in Sydney. I've looked on-line, and there were leads to Diggers, but they do not appear to have any ATM (or at least there wasn't any reply to an email about availability, and none on the website). I know they are av...

If your TV is new, quite often they will be able to stream stuff from a media server; an easy one is Plex. I have it on my NAS, which is on 24/7, and can stream whenever I want, no Apple TV or Chromecast (except for a 10 year old LCD panel). Quite a few things will now stream directly to most TVs on...

Has anyone done a driveway apron with decomposed granite, such as ANL's Deco Gold? I'm looking for a surface strong enough to take the weight of a truck (in case of delivery of soil, and also the garbage truck tends to use our apron to turn around), but look softer than concrete, and ideally water c...

We created one of sorts 10 years ago, in a natural depression at the bottom of our garden leading to a gully. We have a stormwater easement from the street along one side of the house, and rubbish kept getting washed down the gully, which lead to weeds and unsightly plastic material. So we created a...

It easier to buy one system, and stick with it as the batteries are interchangeable. I'm using Bosch cordless, including lawn mower (only one that isn't, as it uses 36V, but fits their 36V power tools), but do use a Honda brushcutter (we are next to a reserve, and blackberries and woody weeds are a ...

LED downlights will light up your bench top. LED strips lights are more of a feature rather than actually providing usefull light. Both have there applications I beg to differ; with good quality LED strip lights, they will light up your bench very well. http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o563/PHL2...

We have gas and induction, and much prefer induction. Gas is good for the wok burner (there are induction wok cooktops, but you are restricted to their wok), but I find most of them cool in the centre (anyone know how to increase the flame strength of the centre ring with Natural Gas? I've seen quit...

Don't forget, most TVs can control other devices such as your home theatre amp and Blueray player via HDMI Link.
