We have the same issue. Did you get any answers or have it rectified ? Apparently, it should be that way. They can’t put any silicone as floating boards move and if they put any adhesion, over time, the floors will buckle. Is it clix 7mm laminate by any chance? https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/110826...

We have the same issue. Did you get any answers or have it rectified ? Apparently, it should be that way. They can’t put any silicone as floating boards move and if they put any adhesion, over time, the floors will buckle. Is it clix 7mm laminate by any chance?

Is this acceptable in a new house build. Floors where installed by builder. Hi all! We have the option for tiles or cat 1 laminate flooring with our builder. I really love timber floors, dislike tiles - so we thought we would take the laminate and use that while the kids are little and pull it up in 5-10yrs and replace with solid hardwood flooring. Guessing we'll save mone...
I know this is an old thread. But just wondering if you went with the 7mm clix laminate. We have had ours for only 1 yr...
