Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Mar 23, 2013 8:35 am We are three weeks into our extensive extension/renovation. Our builder has just informed us that he wants to put the new roof on the existing part of the house next week but we haven't chose a colour yet. I'm having trouble uploading a photo so will describe the house as best I can: - 1950s double fronted - high pitched roof - rendered (colour not yet decided) - 2 large timber windows at front, timber front door Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Am having trouble deciding, I like dune and woodland grey but not sure of wall colours that will go with timber windows and the roof colour? Who knew choosing a colour would be so hard! Re: Help - need to choose a colorbond roof colour by Monday 3Mar 24, 2013 11:08 am Try to choose a light colour to reflect the heat from the sun as well. Dark colours can increase the temperature inside the roof by up to 10 degrees. Alternatively, don't choose a colour at all - go with straight zincalume (which would have been the traditional roof colour) as it goes with everything. Your house roof does not show rusting other than some surface rust on the flashings. In my opinion you dont need to replace or paint the roof other than treat surface rust… 1 10738 You should pressure clean your roof first and make sure the paint you buy also is anti mould. 4 21190 Thank you @. Tried to play with the facade models but the exact colour is not matching up. 2 3866 |
