Were you the one that got NawKaw through to fix all the chipped brick work? How much did they cost (if you don't mind my asking) or was it an expense that EB picked up? Hi to everyone else! PGH covered the cost of nawkaw I believe. The job was ok, not close to fantastic. We tried to get them back to do more, but it just didn't happen. Then after I had a manager involved and they redid some bricks around the house, they used more chipped bricks. We have a nasty brick on our rear alfresco which i will bring up at our maintenance appointment - I doubt they will do anything about it. We're planning on rendering the alfresco anyway at some stage - like the display home. peace97 Hi Houdaman, Do you need to get a permission from the SS to do your own inspection? If it's an official inspection, then we would organise through the SS. As mentioned though, the house was very rarely ever locked up in the early days so we would have a look after hours. Gates were always wide open and then when we had lock up stage, the garage door or rear sliding door were left open pretty often. My upper bricks are going to be cleaned tomorrow, I hope they will do professionally otherwise I may end up with chip bricks. My roof is completed today, will post the pictures soon. Mine were cleaned early this week and the more i look the worse the mortar looks now. Big holes been blown out by the water and lots of cracks everywhere. Does anyone know if they come back and fix it or do i need to make a point of it? Building the Lawson with Eden Brae in Cameron Park Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 1655Nov 15, 2012 5:05 pm If it's just mortar, they should recognise it and fix it. Mention it to your SS next time you talk to him though. The brick cleaner blew a lot of mortar out on ours, and it took the remainder of the build to get it repaired. There are still some places where the mortar is unsatisfactory. Wait until I post a photo of the bricks on my front entry - it will probably get a laugh out of some, and put others into panic mode. Dont tell me welby , now I am expecting the same result. I think you need to contact SS and raise your concern.I have already spoken to my SS to inspect once bricks clea. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 1657Nov 15, 2012 7:35 pm thanks everyone =) we've also got our SS appointed (Cameron McGuinness), though he has not contacted us yet, I'll wait till cob tom, if not I'll ring him myself.... No one would want a new house with chipped bricks and holes in the mortar/joints Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 1660Nov 15, 2012 9:44 pm Sent him off an email so i'll see what he has to say. Put a couple of pics up Houda i'd be intersted to compare them to mine. Building the Lawson with Eden Brae in Cameron Park I built with EB back on 2009.
