Anyone doing tank connection through CH and for the price of over $5800? Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 3383Oct 08, 2012 4:42 pm Issues are almost done, just waiting for someone to come to fix doors that wont close and then some more paint touch ups, also going to request some mortar to be fixed. ksj At tender We were quoted for 200L rain water tank connection only to Laundry just Over $5800 and we thought it was toomuch. So we asked again at contract time and gave us a price under $4500.So we decided to take it, then CLE went and again come back and said they can't do it for that price only for the pervious quoted price. Anyone doing tank connection through CH and for the price of over $5800? How on earth can a 2000(assuming 200 is a typo) litre rain tank and some plumbing cost that much? To do it to the laundry is even more hilarious. There would be lucky to be $1500 (including pump) in materials including concrete for the tank. Just have them put in a water line from the laundry to the wall of the tank, do the pump etc yourself after handover. Given a cold water point for a fridge is under $300 I wouldnt expect it to cost anymore than that given it is not a plumbed connection. Quote was for 2000l with back up connection to laundry cold tap(200l was a typo)and we couldn't understand why it is costing somuch.Anyway we decided to do it later and it is a developer requirement.Though the cost of provisioning is around $700. Thanks for the info. On a two storey building, after it is built, is there a possibility of accessing the ground floor to say add in an extra electrical powerpoint? Thanks. Regards, Willis. Yes there are scenarios where you can add additional powerpoints, but you are limited to where you can add them ( Without holes being cut in the plaster ) In almost every situation, you can easily add more powerpoints on external walls but only if there is an exisitng powerpoint on said wall. Having said that, you can add powerpoints anywhere in an existing house, but it depends on how much plaster damage you will note as being acceptable for you to add a powerpoint. i.e. to add another powerpoint on an internal wall with the only closest power source on a completely seperate wall will require quite a few holes to be cut in the ceiling and walls to run the wire. New Owners be aware !!!!! See media release from City West Water: http://www.citywestwater.com.au/our_new ... hefts.aspx We haven't even started building yet and received a $216 bill to say we have used approx 800L of water. Visited our property to find there is no meter and no running water whatsoever. Our neighbours are in same scenario. Contacted City West Water who advised meter must have been stolen. City West Water have a record of the meter being installed - but no record of the water being disconnected after it apparently got stolen. There is no damage to the piping - just a missing meter. CH sent request to CWW to install tapping before temporary fencing was up and before we even had unconditional approval! Both CWW and CH are saying we are liable for replacement and plumbing fees – valued around $200. CWW Representative going out tomorrow to further inspect and investigate Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 3399Oct 11, 2012 9:08 am SAIV Coobri your pics looks great!!
