It is an acrylic door with a mirror finish. If you happen to get a scratch in the door, it can be buffed out with car polish. Also they use a unique edge that is called glass beading, which give the appearance of a glass sheet over the door. Unfortunately their website doesnt do the product justice, and it's beneficial to see it in person. http://www.ultraglazedoors.com.au/styles.html Hope this helps With 25 years kitchen experience and a passion for what I do, I have joined this forum to offer advice or at least my opinion on all things relevant to kitchens. I was a cabinetmaker by trade and am now a senior manager of a kitchen company. I have requested some samples to be sent to me however i'm not sure if our builder would agree to stock from another supplier (without charging us an arm and a leg i guess). I personally wouldnt use either. I would use 2pac! So much better, more colour and it can be repaired and resprayed Thank you so much! The problem is the builder is saying they can't do the "knife edge" handless type of cabinet with the Melamine and can only do it with the Vinyl wrap or with 2pac. But we are really running out of options on keeping the build to budget. I am desperate for the no handle look and really want shine! So now i won't be satisfied unless i have 2pac lol! Unfortunately he is right. Melamine and knife edge just dont work well together. How about melamine with push to open or an aluminium strip handle? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our builder is now advising the aluminium strip handles also come in Black and in White. Would you happen to know if these would look okay against the black melamine gloss cupboards (as in would it still look like it's blended in and not strange because the cabinet is gloss but the strip handle is flat matt i assume?) It would probably look ok though becuase they are recessed back behind the door/drawer and the shadow would hide the gloss level anyway. Cabinetmakers use MDF because its cheap… 2 10611 Thanks mate. Yeah good points! Leaning towards Option 3 to get a bit extra space in the cabinets but not going too crazy high (and expensive). Would require a mini… 13 41211 Bigger the better for storage for me IMO. But I guess it's harder to tell the cost/benefit in your example - mainly the 'cost'? If you go 700mm, what are you doing extra… 2 3005 |
