Because it certainly wouldn't work for me - just makes you look bad. As to the topic - we are BAL 12.5 but we don't have to screen our entry doors - I wonder why this is different? But i guess as more houses are built with this they will learn. I just know in my job when knew research or information comes out, I make an effort to learn it! Re: Bushfire 12.5bal cost 27Oct 04, 2012 4:43 am that is right, my point is that this is all quite confused. the reason is not that builders dont know the standards, this comment applies to surveyors inspectors and consumers. but i am also saying that design is quite important. the materials that you use and the design system make big differences and make it hard to compare apples for apples leighton clark new homes. i identify myself so no-one can say that i dont. As a consumer I expect these people to know to help but they just don't...yet, hopefully! Fair Trading can issue orders to rectify and complete but once the matter goes to NCAT these orders are automatically vacated.
