However, not sure whether to get a concreter and a landscaper separately or to just get a landscaper to do the concreting and landscaping. Did your concreter do a good job? Would you recommend him? As an Idea, we were quoted 17k without concrete driveway/crossover or retaining wall or adult trees. Anyone can remember? Who pays the Service and usage charges for gas,electricity and water? Anyone charged for (water tap)wet tapping? After signing the contract any extra costs to expect ? Thanks in advance. in our case, builder paid for elec and we paid for gas n water. Gas was only $2.75 so we didn't care but water was about $150++ and we even saw neighbours plasterers and painters using our water but because we didn't know at the time so we didn't really care. Our kitchen top is an L shape and on Caesarstone and we have a cut and join on the corner of the L (this is normal to me) but we have another cut and join on the other side which falls in the middle of the stove (this is the one that I don't like). Is this normal practice? I'm sure I read on previous posts about cutout topic but not sure if that happens on the benchtop itself or the splashback. Hope someone can share their experience. One landscaper that we approached quoted $90k for landscaping work!!! Hi Charlie Brown, My developer has knocked back my building plan as the retaining wall needs to be rendered. So, Carlisle Homes is working on it now. And for the driveway, we will end up parking on the street for the first few days as we need to wait for the concrete to dry. Hope you can share your experience on this items. For us, the 2 others sides were already fenced when we bought the block, the other one we arranged for fencing before construction began. The 'wing' fence needed on the dead side of the house was installed 2 days after handover. As for the driveway, yes, you can only do it after handover, too. It takes a bit of planning to ensure that the concreter can start as soon as you get the keys - simply because you'll never know what may arise during PCI and how long it will take Carlisle to rectify them.
