It's in the 'Porter Davis living package - 21k of extras for 2999' 'CB facias, gutters and downpipes in lieu of zinc - $1096.' So I guess it was never a standard inclusion for PD homes. All you can do is feel bad for the people who paid 5k to upgrade to bifold doors when it's now thrown in under the new package (or was).. EDIT - darn it - too slow... Re: Off white mortar 35Aug 13, 2008 8:33 pm okay, now it's getting down to the nit and gritty.......
Just got my paperwork out, under Porter Dav*s Lifestyle Point of Difference Inclusions: it states: Colorbond fascia, gutter and downpipes. This is different to our promo which we paid $999 for in the last few weeks of it being offered. I think we got CB because we are double storey. Okay, just also got my booklet out that I got on my first visit to our display. In the Point of Difference Inclusions page it says: Additional Double Storey - Colorbond fascia, gutter and downpipes 2590mm high ceilings ground floor only feature fixed panel vanity with round counter top basin to powder room Must be standard for double and not for single. It would be one thing that I would be cross about having to upgrade. I refused to upgrade my bricks, lucky there was ONE that we liked in Cat. 1. We did pay to upgrade our roof tiles to cat 3 but at $1100 I didn't think it was that much. I actually do sometimes wonder if they only charged us for cat 2 and in some of our paperwork it says cat 2 and then changes to cat 3 Happy at Home Re: Off white mortar 36Aug 13, 2008 8:43 pm I wouldn't be surprised if they DID make that mistake, Toni - our tiles were sooo expensive - way more than $1100. I can't remember what cat they are, and they're Monier, not Boral, so maybe more exi to start with (?) but still, the diff in $$ is HUGE!!!
Still can't get over the Colorbond not being standard on at LEAST all "Prestige" houses...... Solidarity, not solidity.......The Lexicon of Life Re: Off white mortar 37Aug 13, 2008 8:57 pm Yeah, i am happy for you all if you have CB as a part of promotion or standard inclusion is double storey.
Believe me $1500 for CB seems too much when all other builders offer it as standard and according to me its a necessity. Absolutely agree with you on that one! petal I wouldn't be surprised if they DID make that mistake, Toni - our tiles were sooo expensive - way more than $1100. When I look at our tender it says "colour on cat 2", then somewhere through our variations it says "colour through Cat 3" We did discuss the colour through at H/toun and did say we would like it, I think I preferred the Gunmetal colour in cat 2 as it seemed darker but then we also liked the Charcoal Grey in cat 3. I remember our consultant saying that the evap cooling unit would be in charcoal grey so it would match. Anyway, they are up now and I really like them so I'm happy. I've also received another little freebie well about 10 of them actually.......sshhhhhh Happy at Home Re: Off white mortar 40Aug 13, 2008 9:58 pm Quote: I've also received another little freebie well about 10 of them actually.......sshhhhhh ssshhh...... can you tell me what are those? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! 2 10118 Hi, I am planning to select San Selmo reclaimed original for the fascade of my build.
