Hooray Inspiration !!! One step closer now your plans are with council. Hope you won't have to wait too long wogboy 8K at Timpelle? It must be supercharged kitchen Hey wogboy, we are building with Wisdom too......I gather you are still completing your appointments? We spent about $10K extra for kitchen....yikes!! I know, it all quickly adds up when you start adding extra's. Spent quite a bit with electricals too. However we found Di lorenzo's tile range OK within W range, we didn't want polished tiles. Main cost is for laying the larger tiles. Be prepared for slow admin, we have learned to be patient. Probably will start build early August, almost 3 months after DA approval We built the Wisdom Majestic 40 - moved in! I was woundering how much you paid to get your stairs stains instead of paint? Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 24Jul 12, 2012 7:51 pm Inspiration30 Hi onewheel yes i know about bloody time lol. I was woundering how much you paid to get your stairs stains instead of paint? We are getting stained handrail with stained wood on the outside of the stair (like a zigzag effect) with carpet in the middle to other wall, plus first two steps stained wood. The stairs will open out to the dining area, so we thought we would make it a bit of a feature. Cost $2.2K. I think stained hand rail around $1K. We built the Wisdom Majestic 40 - moved in! I also thought that de lorenzo builders range was ok but i couldn't help myself with the kitchen i live in mine so i had to have it prefect Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 26Jul 12, 2012 8:10 pm Wisdom sent revised tender so probably sticking with them. Onewheel: "Be prepared for slow admin, we have learned to be patient. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 27Jul 12, 2012 10:16 pm wogboy That is really slow for project home in new estate but I hope that end result will be great. Yeah, admin slow, I think they must be really busy. Plus we had some soil salinity issues then slab issues which took a while to resolve as well, hence why we have not started yet. Inspiration30 oh thanks for that i bet you it will look fantastic once it's done i love the stain on the stairs..... I also thought that de lorenzo builders range was ok but i couldn't help myself with the kitchen i live in mine so i had to have it prefect We were aiming for perfect kitchen too, hence lots of upgrades there. My hubby is the chef in this house and he wanted a wall oven, not stand alone, so we had extra costs due to that. I just clean up afterwards. I'm looking forward the most to having a dishwasher, never had one (I am currently the dishwasher, lol). We built the Wisdom Majestic 40 - moved in! Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 33Jul 16, 2012 3:54 pm Hi philamon on picking a builder it's so hard to choose. Our electrical appiontment was easy the girl was very helpful so it took use about 1 and half hours me got data points throught the whole house which we get 1 as standard but the rest are about $100 each i thick we got 10 in total but that is because we want to put an intercom later ourselfs lol i know can't wait for the dishwasher Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 34Jul 16, 2012 7:17 pm philamon looks like we are going with EBH. we are waiting for our tender presentation which should be a few weeks. was the electrical appointment straight forward? did they give you any advice with regards to NBN? we plan on getting datapoints for most rooms, but any advice would be helpful. i am the dishwasher in our household so i too can't wait for my own dishwasher! NBNco is going to install Home Distibution Unit somewhere in your garage and that is going to provide wi-fi for your phones, laptops etc. I would install phone/data outlets only in locations where smart TV and desktop PCs are going to be. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 35Jul 20, 2012 3:02 pm We are also thinking of building a house in Bunya. We intend to buy the land in the 3rd release. We have to make the payment by Sep end. I am keen to know how are things moving with you? We are confused between eden brae and Wisdom. We are building a single level house. What you your thoughts? Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 36Jul 20, 2012 3:23 pm Hi jewel 18 Welcome, well we are building with wisdom homes. We just found that the inclusion are a lot better with wisdom. Which wisdom design are you looking at building ? Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 37Jul 20, 2012 3:46 pm Hi Inspiration Thanks a lot. We are looking at Flagstaff 23 from Eden Brae and Da Vinci 19 from Wisdom. Allcastle has come up with Neworth Bunya. All almost same range of $230K. We will get in detail with all these builders over the weekend and discuss their inclusions. How has been your experience with Wisdom so far? We are first home buyers. We want to ensure that we make the right decision for ourselves. We do not want to go more that $550K. Also have you come across alot of people bulding home in Bunya? Also have you come across alot of people bulding home in Bunya? Hi jewel, We are going with wisdom. When those builders quote price for your house make sure they include everything needed to satisfy Bunya requirements ( facade, salinity, solar panels, bigger water tanks etc ). That adds around 17K on top of the recommended price and check Bushfire Attack Level for your block because many LOTs are affected. Also keep in mind when you look at those display homes that they have probably 50K extras. Welcome to our neighbourhood! Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 39Jul 21, 2012 9:50 am Hi wogboy Thanks. The quotes that we got have all bunya requirements. And the plot that we have doesn't have any bush fire restrictions. We are going to see Eden brae display home today: flagstaff23. And are meeting all the builders to talk about the inclusions. Will keep you guys updated. Re: Anyone building at bunya??? 40Jul 21, 2012 10:04 am Hi Jewel, Congrats with building and good luck with your progress over time. Just from our perspective, we looked at value for money with inclusions as well as what we wanted from our new place which obviously becomes a personal decision. Good luck with everything!! Ps i heard there is a new homeworld that opened up around camden valley (unless they are referring to the old one on tv) _________________ Building with EBH - Saville 30 @ The Ponds Building Blog - http://rabsndee.blogspot.com 22/08 - Slab Done 07/09 - Frames 16/09 - Roof 02/10 - Bricks 26/10 - Lockup 17/01 - Settlement Wish you all the best.
