Second Build @ The Ponds Wisdom Homes Aspiration 29 Re: Who is building with Beechwood 1349Oct 11, 2011 7:32 pm Well, we settled on Friday! Very good but we have a lot going on this week so the work isn't over yet! We've had guys doing our floating floors since Monday; Beechwood still have to do the fly screens, paint touch ups and some brick work touchups. Had the kitchen guy turn up to fix a chip in the kickboards and you wouldn't bloody believe it but he has spilled something on the stone benchtops that has left a stain we can't get off! It's soaked into the stone!!! We just couldn't believe it! Will call SS first thing tomorrow. Could just cry:(. Yeah, its so so close. Also we didnt do anything fancy in terms of powerpoints and wall mounted TVs' just the normal powerpoint and TV Point and the TV mounted in front will cover all the cords etc. Our Acreage Build The Lakeview Lodge - Beechwood Homes 01/04/10 YES 2010 - Deposit paid 23/09 - PCI CANCELLED 28/09 - PCI - will it happen.-18 months later 07/10/11 - ITS OURS..WOOHOO Re: Who is building with Beechwood 1351Oct 11, 2011 7:50 pm im not sure who asked, but yes we got our wall plaque, looks fine. not sure exactly when we will get it put up Our Acreage Build The Lakeview Lodge - Beechwood Homes 01/04/10 YES 2010 - Deposit paid 23/09 - PCI CANCELLED 28/09 - PCI - will it happen.-18 months later 07/10/11 - ITS OURS..WOOHOO Re: Who is building with Beechwood 1352Oct 11, 2011 9:28 pm 2.2acredream Had the kitchen guy turn up to fix a chip in the kickboards and you wouldn't bloody believe it but he has spilled something on the stone benchtops that has left a stain we can't get off! It's soaked into the stone!!! Acre2.2 - my stone got stained also by the plasters mixing up there mix on my bench with no plastic or covering, I was spewing when I saw it, anyways it left yellows stains, so I called Apollo who put me in touch with Caesarstone and they advised to use JIF on it and if that didnt work they can send out a special cleaning kit made by them as in Caesearstone, but the JIF seemed to work and I can now hardly see the marks, apparently the stone is pourus and absorbs everything so as soon as you spill one thing you need to wipe or clean it up straight away apparently coke is a shocker for staining it also......have to say for what you pay for it, it not a "durable" as what I thought, I love the look but not loving the use of it.......... I'm not sure what with though. might be worth looking into. Terrible that it stains so easily though! We're building or should I say we were building with Westminster Homes till they went into liquidation . Like many of you, we too wanted Caesar stone bench tops, as our current Beechwood home that was built 20 yrs ago has laminate benchtops. It never really crossed my mind that Caesar Stone can stain, I thought it was like marble. So , a very big thankyou for bringing this to our attention, & will look into sealing, Re: Who is building with Beechwood 1355Oct 13, 2011 11:25 am Thanks everyone for the comments and Jiff (and a bit of elbow gease) did the job!!! You can't even tell where the stain was!! Today the floating floors are being finished off and the carpet is going down! Tonight will be cleaning all the dust out of the cupboards and tomorrow we start moving things in! We still have a few issues. Our metal flyscreans went up yesterday but they look as though someone has walked over the steel gauze and it's all dented! The cleaners have to come back to do our back entertainment area again. There is still grout, paint and dirt that they haven't cleaned off (to be honest we haven't been at all impressed with the cleaners). We're still waiting on our toilet roll holders that hadn't been ordered, the painters have to come back and finish their 'touch ups' of which there are ALOT (REALLY not impressed with them either) and there are still come cosmetic stuff on the brickwork that needs to be finished off. Nothing big but stuff that needs to get finished off. Can't wait to move in!!!! It's still a bit serreal that we've finally gotten here. As some of you know there are times it feels like it's never going to be done but we're here! 20/4 - Earthworks 25/5 SLAB 9/6 Frame 21/6 Roof 5 - 22/7 Bricking 1/8 Gyprocking 16 - 18/08 Faulty Trusses repaired 17/08 Kitchen in 07/09 Tilers 15/09 Painters 30/9 Plumbers finished 7/10 Settled Re: Who is building with Beechwood 1356Oct 13, 2011 12:14 pm Well Done Anna.....you finally did it!! How much land have you got? Well, our gyprock was booked to be done this week, eaves were supposedly booked for last week, but we still have neither... Not sure what the story is.. We do have most of the insulation installed though. For those who are finished, what comes after the gyprock? Is that the kitchens and bathrooms??
