Had to respond to that one Matt. Its.....actually not too bad It obviously depends on how many are building in the immediate vicinity of your house. Our next door neighbour's builders have been going like crazy last few months and kids have been able to sleep through most of it. There were some really noisy 7am (construction and radio!) starts with major items like roof tiling, plastering etc but all in all, surprisingly contained. We'll be going through it all over again when our other neighbour starts but cross that noisy bridge when we get there. Good luck, the end is near!! http://glenn-and-denhs-tribeca.blogspot.com/ Handover: Thurs 9th June!!! Fixing: forever and ever and ever...... Matt - anynews neighbor when the retaining wall is supposed to begin? Hope this rain lets up!! Hi Dandav, Our house is coming along as normal with little hiccups. Tiles in our bathroom, need to be re done. Wrong height. It meant to be 220 (we paid for it) because my husband is 2mt height.. so need to re tiled. Feature tiles in the other bathroom were place in the wrong spot!!! so again they need to re done feature tiles. Plaster was re done this week, water got in and damage first and ground floor. Fridge niche.. finally fix!!!! yeah!!!! We ask our SS when the retaining wall is coming in.. and he says to us.. what retaining wall??? The one we paid for it.. 2 of them... He didn't read the plans properly and specifications.. so yesterday call us and says you were right. I forgot!!!! OMG.... So here we are going to the house every day.. just to spot little things that our SS forgot...!!! Painting coming next week. When are you moving in??? Your are almost there...!!! how exciting!!! See you around, NAt Nat & Andres Lot 318 - Stage 3 Building with Simonds - Parkside 3500 Developer approval August 2010 Title - 30 March 2011 Council approval - 30 March Site Cut - 31 March Slab - 21 April Re: The Range Estate - Croydon.....Anyone else Building ther 1037Sep 29, 2011 8:10 pm catlover Yay!!! Settlement! We now officially own the beautiful block of dirt Still waiting on tree removal permit, but at least settlement is done! Housemouse I see that you are in! How's it all going? Your place looks awesome Nezza, any news on when you guys will start with site cut and so forth? At least you don't have to wait for tree permits to get developer approval and then to start building! It's all so exciting! Can't wait to see all the progress. Just hope we're not last to start, feels like we've been ready for ages! Hi Catlover we dont settle till the 4th after all this waiting we now seem to be the last to settle grrrr. But after that our builder says its still up to 8 weeks before they will have all the approvals. I don't understand how some people have their slab down 2 days after settlement yet we have to wait 8 weeks just for approvals??? maybe some builders know the right wheels to grease and others don't hmmm.... Lets hope they are quick about it did someone say they has a street number? no one has told us our yet. The whole settlement process is bizarre, apparently we don't even have to rock up and will never see the title change hands. its all done by magical faeries in mystery castles in the city or something. Re: The Range Estate - Croydon.....Anyone else Building ther 1038Oct 01, 2011 11:41 am Hi Everyone The Estate is looking fantastic! A hype of activity. We are nearly ready to FINALLY become residents of The Range and we cannot wait. It's been a roller coaster and reading all the posts it sounds like we are not alone. We are building on Temple Miles Rd and about 3-4 weeks from finishing. Just wondering if anyone recommend a concrete firm they have used for their driveway? Look forward to meeting you all soon. Lexi Hi qwertyqwerty, Where about in Temple Miles, we are in the corner of Temple Miles and Rappold Avenue. That's fantastic news.. that you are so close to moving in.. we are about 8 weeks. I cannot help you with the driveway as we have it included in the house price but for fence go to Taylor Fence (we have 4 quotes and they came super cheap). Hope to see you around. cheers, Nat Nat & Andres Lot 318 - Stage 3 Building with Simonds - Parkside 3500 Developer approval August 2010 Title - 30 March 2011 Council approval - 30 March Site Cut - 31 March Slab - 21 April Re: The Range Estate - Croydon.....Anyone else Building ther 1040Oct 01, 2011 9:47 pm Hi Nat We are Lot 320, two blocks over from you on the same side! Your house is looking great, looks like you have a good sized yard also. I like our little area in the Estate and can't wait to move in. I found Taylor's were the best also in regards to the fencing quotes, currently organising letters to neighbours to get it all organised. Will keep hunting concrete companies, probably best to ask our Site Supervisor for a recommendation.... Look forward to meeting you in the next few months!
