Also if the house is removed does a second round of tests\surveys need to be done?
Appreciate anyones advice
Cheers Alpal
I believe so, it was explained to me that a second round of soil tests would be done once my old house was demolished to make sure there are no huge variations in soil composition under the old footprint. Perhaps unlikely but who knows till they drill down.
With our build we are going to end up with quite a few piers of at least a metre deep to get through the layer of disturbed soil from the demolition into solid, undisturbed ground. The second testing would also assist in working out precisely how deep the piers have to go I think.

Thanks Ray,
The first test will be taken with the house removed (stumps still present) - this is why I was not sure..
Appreciate the response
