Oh gosh, excitement! At this stage, we're hoping to be in by next Christmas (as in, 2012... right as the world is about to end! Ha!) ... prestart soon, we hope!

Hahaha thanks Tinkster, good luck for us all!. Parcelona, you were smart and didn't have your builder do everything before the titles arrived. We on the other hand did and now the prices gone up and so much pain we went through etc all because of the delay on the titles Should have known. Oh well. Life goes on ahaha goodluck:) See you around soon

Is that right?? How can they increase the price when the market is so quiet? We signed up with the builder in Jan. I sent an email asking them whether the price will remain the same. Luckly they said yes.

Willw, we also asked the same thing and checked the contract, but of course they have their ways. They used the cost of labour, cost of supplying etc. As they would, its bound to happen no matter how 'fixed' price it is. I asked to see the break down of all these costs. It was 2.8 grand in total, After a year of waiting for the titles and having that 'price fixed', I signed it because I couldn't be bothered going around in circles and it seemed average price. But anymore price increases and they will see me rage! You signed in January this year? We signed December 09! ahaha

Hey, willw what street are you on?
I've heard that Berchley Park just down the road has had very minimal crime. Lets hope thats the same for us ey.

Ah yes! I know, I went pass today and one started already on that street!
I'm on Balfour Street! I hope they put some swings or something in the park. But not too big so people can play football and soccer ahaha Well i guess there is sutherlands next door!

Hi Neighbours,
Wow it’s great to see so many of us building in Seven Oaks. It’s been a long wait for all of us and hope it is not a long wait at the Council. Our plans have been in council since 2nd week of June and still waiting for approval. I hope it’s approved by this mid Aug.
We did drive past the estate yesterday there are in total approximately 5 slabs down which is great. I guess there are going to be a few more next month. We could spot quite a few taps which Water Corp has put on the lots, which might be a indication that the plans are in council (This is my guess, not sure how far its true).
Anyone has a clue how much time do they take for approval and if we can call and check with them..

Mine took bang on 6 weeks, and we didn't get our tap until a month or so after that, so I don't think the taps indicate its in council

Well we've had little birdies telling us stage two titles will be approved very very shortly... much sooner than the anticipated August/September release!

Ours was six weeks on the mark too but had the tap before council approval.

All neighbours.. good news for stage 2. Just been advised by settlement agency that titles are out. I've got certificate of title just now.. cheers..

Also, my other half has informed me we are all receiving street light upgrades! (Well, replacements anyway, not sure if they're upgrades haha!) I must check it out on the way to work tomorrow.
I'm told lots of you have slabs, bricks and frames onsite now!

Good news got Council approval last week, it took around 6 weeks and had some issues with European House Borer treatment, the builder had not factored in the cost in the initial contract.

Yeh did drive pass the estate on the weekend and did notice quite a few houses with bricks and frames onsite. There where a couple of lots with close to slab down.

Street light upgrades thats good news !! why is that so ???
