No, basically they will get them but they won't necessarily provide them to you at the time of the progress payment. They get uploaded into pathways at some stage. It's a good idea to use an external certifier for things like the frame inspection....they pick up all the technical things we didn't have a clue about like girder truss issues. I have not signed any of the tendors, so I am still in the planning stage? I shouldn't need to pay the 1k then... wonder why she said I had to weird... Which side of the Villina did you put your water tanks? We have ours on the lounge side, but was thinking of swapping it over to the garage side.... We put ours on the lounge side with the rest of the services, hot water tank and aircon unit. We have an alfresco to the side and very narrow paths down both sides of the house. It really irritates me when these Demo Companies do *** things. I think ours buried rubble as we kept on finding so much rubbish when we were excavating the back garden.. THey seem to get away with so much! and the pain in the proverbial is that there is no recourse you just get passed to and fro. He did offer to remove the concrete from my drive way between the road and the our site as a "measure of goodwill" I dont want that remove you ponce! I need it! They way some people do business just floors me sometimes as a business owner it surprises me how some people stay in business. Any way Good news we have signed on the dotted line! woot woot! I've never been inclined to do a happy dance but I am now! Portaloo is next! we have just been advised to put up temporary fencing as per the front around our new pool as MH wont take any responsibility for any damage. that got some steam coming outta my ears! Not sure if we told you but we took the appliances out of our contract to supply and install our own. We'll be taking delivery of the AEG anyway to on sell/ they were only prepared to give us just over $2k for all of them!! I had a LOV-EL-EE time on the weekend checking out Harve Norman, Winnings and Bing Lee for My ILVE stove! and Miele appliances. This whole process makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world! I Hope you are all well and progressing along. just remember to check, check, check and recheck you plans and tenders. we almost got charged for the installation of the appliances we are suplling and installing ourselves and a window that was off centre nightY night! I think that it officially kicks off the contract as the start of construction. How exciting for you. I look forward to following your build. Do you find that the window from the dining / lounge is obstructed? Since the water tanks go right up to the windows edge? We are trying to decide which option to go with. We have Platinum Package so we have the option of the 2 x 60cm ovens and Ceramic Cooktop, 1 x 90cm Oven and Ceramic Cooktop, 1 x Pyrolytic oven and Induction Cooktop or the Duel Fuel Multifunction Upright Cooker. I went to a HN store to see if I could look at them and they did not sell them and the salesperson basically told me they were chinese rubbish. So now I am worried about what we are going to get. I know if we organise our own we will not get much back from Masterton so was interested to see what other people did regards their appliances. Who did you get your appliances through was it Masterton direct or did you source your own and if so what brand did you go with. Cathy Cathy Building Harmony Elite - Option B - Grande Resort Suite - Modified Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 2137May 31, 2011 8:32 pm Masterton, we got AEG, apparently they cant bulk buy anymore as AEG is going the way of MIELE, direct buy from the company not Harvey Norman etc. Building: Masterton Villina Savoy in the Sutherland Shire http://nathanandvivienbuildahome.blogspot.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 2138May 31, 2011 8:48 pm Hi Nathan and Vivien So does AEG only supply to the shops for sale now is that what you are saying as I know you can get Miele from Harvey Norman. Also with your flooring did you get it laid by Masterton as well as the tiles in your Alfresco area. We are looking to possibly have tiles in the Hallway, Great Room and Alfresco as well as Bathrooms and laundry and carpet in Study Dining/Living and upstairs. If you don't mind me asking what type of carpet and underlay did you choose and what was the cost. We are starting to shop around for this and it would be good to know a rough price we would be looking at and a good place to go to get it. Cathy You can still get AEG appliances from the shop but they are at a fixed price...well that's what we were told by a HN salesman. Basically, you can look at the appliances at places like HN but when they put the order thru it goes straight to AEG or Miele direct which cuts out the possible profit margin or discount applicable from the outlet.... We got the flooring done through Masterton at colour selection stage with Accent carpets. The timber flooring was a little more expensive than an outside quote but we weighed it up against them tacking on the skirting and then coming back afterwards to stick it on after the flooring was laid. Tiles were also supplied and laid by Dons tiles through Masterton. I can't remember the type of underlay we got....i just know it's spongy and the carpet was extra again. We have our updated tender back and are waiting for plans to come back. It has taken 4 weeks so far so not sure how long it should take.
