Does anyone know who the best people to contact (down the track) regarding finding out neighbours regarding fencing in the estate. Builders should be at sight this week (fingers crossed). Great to see some happenings throughout the estate now! My wife called Marion council the other day to find out who our neighbours were and she was told that they can't tell you over the phone, but they can tell you if you go to their office (either they tell you or they have some software that you can use to find out). Anyone got any ideas RE my earlier post about soil removal? I've called a few of the contractors listed on the Fairmont paperwork and a lot of them are based in the Northern suburbs (their location isn't listed in the paperwork, except for one guy based down south). Re: [SA] Building in Field River Estate, Trott Park 265Jan 28, 2011 1:35 pm Turin, We are getting a mate to remove our soil for us. $500 for hire of the truck and dumping. should be getting it done in 2-3 weeks time. Just make sure that who you get needs to be there on the day of the cutting and trenching otherwise the builders will slug you. We put in our contract that the removalist needs 2 weeks notice prior to this happening. Re: [SA] Building in Field River Estate, Trott Park 266Feb 02, 2011 3:47 pm Update, our block was cut on Monday so hope to have the slab down in 2-4 weeks. Looks like we are one of the only ones in stage 3 to have anything start to happen. After all the drama's its great to see more and more houses going up in the estate. Re: [SA] Building in Field River Estate, Trott Park 267Feb 02, 2011 4:00 pm Congrats thats awesome news. By Christmas 2011 we should be looking at one good looking estate Re: [SA] Building in Field River Estate, Trott Park 269Feb 02, 2011 9:07 pm Hi all, My husband & i were pleased to come across this forum as we are also building in the Field River Estate. We were lucky enough to have first pick of the second release and we are on the low side of Bayley. We are also building the Solerno (modified) with Fairmont Homes and had our final builders interview on 17th Jan. We are eagerly waiting for construction to start. We were told at our interview that slab would be poured approx 3-5 weeks from then. After all the delays we encountered with toing & froing with the council re: splits i am hoping it is smooth sailing from here. Re: [SA] Building in Field River Estate, Trott Park 270Feb 03, 2011 8:36 am M&T We were lucky enough to have first pick of the second release and we are on the low side of Bayley. We are also building the Solerno (modified) with Fairmont Hi M&T WELCOME!!! Sorry to ask information but, if your building on the low side of Bayley from Stage 2, how on earth did you get away with building the Salerno with the 35% build size restriction on the block, you must have some serious contacts Re: [SA] Building in Field River Estate, Trott Park 271Feb 03, 2011 8:48 am The 35% rule isn't that closely policed, we put ours in knowingly over the 35% with the guidance of our salesperson and it got through council OK. I mean if you were 60% they'd probably stop you, but a few % over 35% (I think ours was close to 40%) and they generally let it through. Re: [SA] Building in Field River Estate, Trott Park 272Feb 03, 2011 8:57 am Yeah I know... but Salerno standard is 305 sqm, so at 40% thats still a 762.5sqm block that is 18m wide. Which there are none in stage 2 on Bayley. There are in stage 3 in Bayley or stage 2 on Tischendorf. Hence my curiousity Doesn't matter Good choice on house Design M&T Re: [SA] Building in Field River Estate, Trott Park 273Feb 03, 2011 10:57 am We bought the family room wall in a smidge dropping the % a couple but is still over 40%. As Vortex said, i don't think council are very strict on the 35% rule. Fairmont did make us aware that council may reject our application based on the size but it went through fine. Our problem like most others was the split factor. Have you guys spoken to fairmont recently about start dates? Re: [SA] Building in Field River Estate, Trott Park 274Feb 03, 2011 11:15 am Ahhh quite the lucky camper I'm way of a start date. Probably 6-9 weeks. Waiting on final finance approval to come back and was told i'd be a 3-6 week wait for anything to start from then. I'm still crossing all fingers & toes that i'll get in before xmas. Basically I'm praying i catch everyones tail wind Re: [SA] Building in Field River Estate, Trott Park 275Feb 06, 2011 2:20 pm Vortex, They actually did cut our block without telling us, haha. bit of a shock when you get a phone call from a friend who saw it to say congrats things are actually happening. hehe Re: [SA] Building in Field River Estate, Trott Park 276Feb 06, 2011 5:00 pm Speaking of........ Vortex your block has been scraped and I believe cut. Don't quote me on the cut, because your split is smaller than others, but the back of the block appears to have been sliced near the retirement home. Congrats Re: [SA] Building in Field River Estate, Trott Park 277Feb 06, 2011 6:31 pm WOOHOO! Mel drove past today down the Expressway and she thought she saw a mound of dirt on the block that was previously not there, we were planning to go for a drive after dinner to check it out Funny story though, she bumped into the contractors doing the scraping/cutting there yesterday when she dropped by and they said they thought they'd get it done sometime this week.. I guess Sunday is actually the start of the week on the calendar isn't it? Not that we're complaining at all! Re: [SA] Building in Field River Estate, Trott Park 278Feb 07, 2011 10:43 am haha vortex, its looking more work is getting done over the weekends then during the week. Probably have their weekends on Tuesday, Wednesday. congrats on getting your block cut. when do they think your slab will be down? Re: [SA] Building in Field River Estate, Trott Park 279Feb 07, 2011 10:47 am HUGGEEEEEE THANKS!!!! To M&T for checking their contract for me My wife and I drove out to Blakeview Grove on Sunday to inspect the Fairmont internal color Bone on the Ashborne as it is the color we picked for our internal walls. While we were there we picked up a price list. Reading it on the longgggggggg drive home back to Sheidow Park. I noticed it said on the Salerno 'garage inc 3 roller door included' and I thought 'hold on a minute?!?!?!' when we got home I checked our quote and it stated a charge of $11,880 for Garage. So I emailed M&T and sure enough their garage was included!!! So I called our salesman this morning, and he is sending us a variation for $11,880 in the mail!!! I swear fairmont/realtysa are our to get us. When we received our contract for our block in field river they were asking over 2 Million for the block because they put 1 too many zeros on the price and now this lol A lot of those Covenants are put in place at the time the Developers are still involved and marketing a certain look and they get ignored or expire after a time.
