Kodaz - someone told me before that a semi out-of-ground pool is actually easier for the guys installing it. So if anything, I think it would cut costs....don't hold me to that though. We're getting ours 14cm out-of-ground which isn't much...but need this so the pool/tiles are level with our deck. There is an extra cost due to more steel needed for renforsing the concrete. We didn't get a break down on how much extra it was going to cost as we the had to come out of the ground due to the block. Have a look at my thread on OUR POOL JOURNEY sorry don't know how to link it. There is a break down of our contract. Make sure you get a few quotes as our cheapest was 30 and dearest was 45 (majestic). Cheers Lou Cheers Louise Our pool builder said it did not make a difference as more concrete is offset by less excavation costs and vice versa Re: To Pool or Not To Pool, that is the question 18Oct 19, 2010 9:09 pm Agent_009 Lou - is the extra steel only needed for concrete pools? We're going fibreglass... Yes http://take2-customdesigndownslope.blogspot.com 07-10-09 omg they have cut the block 14-05-10 we finally have the keys I work with owner, he/she is my man on the ground and I instruct them when to visit the site and take photos and I have other tools in the bag. 4 16387 1000000% definitely add insulation. I have in my home and it makes a big difference minimising sound transfer. Insulation is pretty cheap and definitely worth it 2 6827 I am in the same situation, would you be able to give some insights in to this? I am in SA 8 18025 |
