Our quote included the Allworth Advantage ($10,000) so that is locked in (pre June 15). The 1.5 kw solar system on offer would be worth approx $3000, so not too worried about it. We are going to put in a 2 kw return to grid solar system post lock up. Will have everything organised to go in a week or two after moving in. Good luck. Re: Site Costs with Allworth 32Aug 09, 2010 9:05 pm Thanks shadowcollide. I will check with Allworth regarding this when I meet them soon. We did nog sign contract by 15th June so they revised our quote to bump the base price from 136900 to 138900 for the concerto, which is what the new flyers are saying, so will now check with them to include Solar Power . Also, we have been quoted 8.5K for driveway, patio to alfresco and path to porch. We earlier went for a complete home package of 10k but then exlcuded the turf at front which was only 1.5k reduction. Does anyone here have an idea for quote on driveway, alfresco floor etc. as above? Am considering if there is a big price difference if getting it done after handover? ------------------------------------------------------- http://homeinkalina.blogspot.com Enjoying our new Concerto with Allworth Homes in Kalina, The Ponds Handover - 28/06/2011 Re: Site Costs with Allworth 33Aug 10, 2010 11:53 am pman Also, we have been quoted 8.5K for driveway, patio to alfresco and path to porch. Hi Pman, I got a quote for our driveway, I got a quote for just the driveway to be concreted by a guy that is doing alot of driveways in The Ponds and his quote came back at $5500. So $8.5k for driveway, alfresco and porch may not be too bad... I would send you plans to a couple of guys and get them to quote it up though, just so you can compare. I will also check with our consultant if they are doing the complete driveway as you would know in the ponds that we need the normal plain concrete driveway in the council portion in front of the house and then our driveway (which allworth are doing a stenciled one)? I hope this includes the front bit as well but just a minor detail I need to check ------------------------------------------------------- http://homeinkalina.blogspot.com Enjoying our new Concerto with Allworth Homes in Kalina, The Ponds Handover - 28/06/2011 Re: Site Costs with Allworth 35Aug 10, 2010 2:29 pm our quote includes council property as well, it wouldn't surprise me if Allworth have not included this for yours. __________________________ Building the Concerto with Allorth Homes @ The Ponds Our blog Noddy @ The Ponds http://noddytheponds.blogspot.com PM me re Landscape Plans Re: Site Costs with Allworth 36Aug 13, 2010 8:24 pm Congrats noddy09 on your BTCC approval. I too am currently looking into building with allworth / concerto 4. My site costs are nearly $15k. As for shadowscollide I too have fire zoning and found all info I reqd on the web site http://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/ you can rate your own land using the helpful brochures on this site, you will need to know the distance from your building to the nearest vegetation and the type/classifaication of vegetation that is growing there. My quote for this extra is $4k and this is to include sarking in roof, metal in eave area, wire mesh in weep vents to prevent ash/embers from entering. keep posting it is all great info to read, thank you Re: Site Costs with Allworth 39Aug 16, 2010 2:02 pm Hi juzme, Welcome to the Allworth concerto post Nice to see another person considering this house. May I ask, where are you building? Also, your site costs seems very reasonable. Did you go with variable or fixed site costs and are you going directly with Allworth or through Package Central (home and land package)? ------------------------------------------------------- http://homeinkalina.blogspot.com Enjoying our new Concerto with Allworth Homes in Kalina, The Ponds Handover - 28/06/2011 Re: Site Costs with Allworth 40Aug 16, 2010 10:52 pm Hi guys worth mentioning that we have gone with the complete home package. We will pay $9500 for stencil concrete to driveway (47 metre's squared & alfresco area 12 metres squared, concrete path to entry & turf to front (not that there will be a heap of grass to lay). We did this for the convenience, the plans show the driveway going right to the curb, which for us means on completion the place should be looking pretty tidy. Might seem a bit expensive when you crunch the numbers against other quotes but from what I can tell this quote includes the excavation involved to driveway & alfresco & obviously the work is approved through council as apart of the whole construction. We figured if Allworth were making money from us it was definitely here. Additional Note: we have completed our colour selections, worth mentioning that we will be paying $1200 to upgrade the carpet. The basic carpet on offer is horrible so we had to upgrade. As we are fire prone we are waiting with baited breathe re Fire requirements as determined by council. Hoping we don't need to spend thousands as this could blow our budget for other things. eg Return to Grid Power. We are also hoping for a M Class slab & not a H. Will post more info as I think of it.
