gas fireplace

hi. can anyone recommend a good gas fireplace? we're looking at something that has a contemporary look with chrome borders. we will be having ducted heating so it's going to be used for both aesthetics and sometimes for heating the family room.

i've been looking at:
heat n glo (is this a good brand?)
jetmaster (too expensive)

around how much do i need for the fireplace and installation? is it better to get the builder to install this? or after handover?

What about Rinnai? Some very nice gas fireplaces.

we looked at a range of gas fireplaces including those brands mentioned and decided on a Canon - Canterbury - 4 stars, sleek design, Aussie made, reasonably priced, high efficiency and good to look at

Recommended by the SA Gas Shop and other private heating shops.

here are built-in models we are looking at - check the star rating for efficiency.

I'd be interested to find out what you eventually choose. We were told many fireplaces go on sale at this time of the year. Might be a good time to buy.

You can also add stainless steel slats to the front of the fitzroy but you might need to get them to send you a brochure as its not on the site.
