Browse Forums Kitchen Splashbacks 1 Apr 01, 2010 3:32 pm Hi There Just wondering if anyone can recommend companies in Perth who do glass splashbacks. I would be interested in price per metre, your experience and any photos you have of your finished products. Recommendations/Costs/Photos pleas 2Apr 01, 2010 6:31 pm Hi I can't help you much with rec's or photos because I deccided glass was out of my price range. However, I did receive a few quotes so I can give you an estimate of costs. I was told that the general cost is about $580/m2 for a standard colour on standard glass, plus about $80 for each power point cut out. This seems about right - looking back on one quote for example (my kitchen is small and the splashback is approx 2/m2), the costs were: - Standard colour / standard glass $1,232 - Metallic colour / standard glass $1,295 - Standard colour / bleached toughened glass $1,463 - Metallic colour / bleached toughened glass $1,526 I think those prices may be a little high. I just read through some old emails and found another company which quoted me a little less (between $1,000 and $1,200 depending on colour / glass choice). Hopefully that gives you some ball park figures to work with. I've just started writing a blog Re: Splashbacks - Perth. Recommendations/Costs/Photos pleas 3Apr 08, 2010 5:49 pm Obviously I can't recommend anyone yet, because our kitchen is still being built, but we've had 3 quotes. So far, we're going with Quote number 1, which was not only the cheapest, but she was the nicest, too. I can't remember how much it was (the quotes are on the desk, and i'm on the lounge with a cat on my lap.. but I will let you know later on lol!). We went to a place in Myaree (they were recommended by the man from Stegbar in Myaree.. Stegbar have splashbacks on their website, but apparently they haven't done them in WA for about 5 years?!). Quotes 2 & 3 were from glass companies in Canning Vale. We're also going to email/call Ikon, because I think thats who DA use for theirs. If you do hear of any good rec's, please let us know! They weren't the cheapest but they did match a quote from another company. We paid $1550 for 3 pieces of metallic coloured glass with 4 cut outs (3 for powerpoints). It is similar to cocoa galore which is a more common colour but slightly lighter. Built "The Manor" with Ventura We have an ocean view....IF WE STAND ON OUR TIPPY TOES!! We have a slightly larger area, but can't imagine it would be that much bigger. It looks fantastic by the way.
