Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Finally....our first family home - Plans with the Engine 2Apr 01, 2010 6:10 am That plan looks fantastic. I love the study nook in the living room - we are doing something similar, I think it is a good idea to have somewhere for the kids to use the computer that is semi-supervised. It also means I can check emails (and the homeone forum) while still in the main area of the house. Only thoughts - could you move the clothes line so it isn't above the bedroom window? Along the wall off the master bedroom if that is not visable from the street maybe. Clever use of colour throughout the house - like the skinny black and red tiles in the bathroom and who would have thought to put red in the laundry - that will brighten up wash days!! Well done - I like it - can't wait to see the finished product! For info on our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43093 Built the McLaren by Dechellis - slab down 22 Feb - handover 30 Aug 2011 - and gardens finished 9 Dec 2012!! Re: Finally....our first family home - 3 WEEKS TO GO!!! 16Apr 11, 2011 5:49 pm Thanks guys!! Needless to say we were a little nervous about using so much red...but i think it works well. Should look good once there is some furniture in there to break it up a bit...although our couch is bright red leather Re: Finally....our first family home - 3 WEEKS TO GO!!! 17Apr 11, 2011 5:59 pm Went over today and the back and front patio has been tiled ...pics will be up soon. All the skirting has now been finished and the painter is going in tomorrow. Outside paths and driveway Tuesday and Wednesday.
