Hey guys.....
We're at the point of having plaster installed for the ceiling (done) and the wall plaster is in the house waiting to be put in, so it won't be far off.
The issue we have since visiting the site is that in Bedroom 2 (converted now to an audio studio), we've specifically ordered acoustic batts - they're green and thicker than the average batt. It's intended to help cut external noise down and dampen the room a bit audiowise.
All good, but when we went to look - they've put a few standard yellow batts in the walls at certain points, and I'm trying to tell the CSC without actually saying we've been in the house
An email to that effect has been sent, and a meeting on site set up for next week, but what if they put the plaster up and not all the acoustic batts have been put in place ? Is there a recourse ?
Some of the acoustic batts are currently sitting in walls nowhere near the room, which is puzzling.
Also, do batts get put into adjacent walls (ie bedroom to hallway, rumpus room to family room) ? It's hard to tell as you don't really see those specs on a contract/brochure do you ? All of the bricked walls have got the normal batts (as per the plan) except for my studio. I'm just concerned it won't get picked up.
Love to hear your thoughts on the above and answer on the 2nd point.
