Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 2Dec 24, 2009 12:34 am Hi Rhi Can't believe you've picked all your colours already , I'm still stuck! Which tile place did you end up going through? If you read my thread you can see what we've added and how long for the build our guy told us. Look forward to following your build Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 3Dec 24, 2009 12:38 am Just looking at your colours, they look great . What are the names of your formica colours? Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes - Titles delayed 4Jan 18, 2010 11:31 pm So really annoyed about the fact we were supposed to have titles in Jan but have since been told anywhere from May till July and then obviously we wait for certs then finance and thennnnn settlement! I was actually thinking at one stage we would be in by this xmas but I must of been dreaming. Other than that we are thinking of changing our minds on colour choices we just dont find the grey suitable for a childrens bathroom and I have since found another one I like (thanks purple butterfly ) Apart from that nothing else has been happening, although now I think about it we did recieve the plot id numbers about a week ago so I guess thats awesome RHI - BALDIVIS PERTH 2005 Bought/Finished WA Housing Centre Home 2010 Building the Benchmark with REDINK Homes in The Avalon 2013 Building the Michigan with Cont3nt Living In Highbury Estate! Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 5Jan 18, 2010 11:42 pm As I said in my thread, I hope the time flies by for you! Glad I could help with your colours too lol, took me many months to pic my colours, glad that part is over OK I am totally build clueless, what are the plot ID numbers Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 6Jan 19, 2010 12:07 am Pretty sure that the plot ID is the number your block is assigned before street numbers are finalised. Mine was Lot 67, I had a good feeling about it because I grew up at a 67 and lots of good memories there Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 7Jan 19, 2010 10:50 am Ahahahah I wouldnt have a clue but I think its waht Vundaful! said. I think its something the surveyer gives the council and all that jazz or something, I just know my land guy said the surveyer had been out and gave me my plot number so know we can start the process of putting plans in with council or something like that RHI - BALDIVIS PERTH 2005 Bought/Finished WA Housing Centre Home 2010 Building the Benchmark with REDINK Homes in The Avalon 2013 Building the Michigan with Cont3nt Living In Highbury Estate! Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 8Jan 19, 2010 11:32 am ahhh ok....nope still confused . So I have a lot number (422) and on my plans there is a Plan/Dia number..anyway moving on How I wish we were at the stage of putting plans to council, my CLO said she has ordered a site survey for within the next two weeks (if all goes to plan), might take another drive past, see if they've done anymore since yesterday, yes I'm obsessed , my house is just down the road, makes obsession easy Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 9Jan 19, 2010 11:36 am I'd be popping over every day too if my site was that close As it is, the 20 min drive limits us to once a week Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 10Jan 19, 2010 11:40 am Yeah it's very convenient, I'm going to be seeing it every morning and arvo when school starts.
Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 11Jan 19, 2010 12:50 pm I have to ask whats a CLO? I have been trying to work it out but I am stumped. Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 14Jan 19, 2010 12:55 pm Cool, that's exactly what we got told last week Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 15Jan 19, 2010 2:37 pm Oh and you should have your plant soon cos I got mine a couple days after they said that Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 16Jan 28, 2010 11:31 pm So after days of thinking and worrying about colours I think I have got what I want, well I really dont know what i want just more what I am somewhat happy with Roof- Bristile Tiles in Luna Eclipse Gutters - Monument Fascia - Classic Cream Rollerdoor - Classic Cream Brick - Whitecliffe Driveway Cream pavers with a charcoal paver border Render - Dulux Beauty Spot (need to find the solver alternative) so yeah I somewhat like it and its the closest I have so far but its not jumping out at me, I want something spectacular at a very affordable price:P We have def decided that we will keep the bathroom, ensuite and laundry the same colours or the same tone at least. Ensuite will be the pebbles with a white flat tile and a brown top and white cupboard with mocha coloured tiles The bathroom will be the same but swap out the pebbles for mosaics (like purple butterflys) Laundry will be somewhat the same but I dont know what we are doing with the cupboards and what colours we will be having. We have decided to add window sills to all windows and skirting to the main living areas minus study and theatre. Kitchen is still a dont know what to do zone. I love the white kitchens with the coloured top but I want something a little different as well with a bit of colour. I was thinking maybe a light light brown and then a darker top of the same shade?? hrmm dunno yet. We are upgrading our taps, the ensuite will be a double shower with handhelds and are thinking of that for the spare shower too. I would love to upgrade the sinks aswell but dont know what to. The kitchen sink is going to be upgraded to a double instead of a 1 3/4. Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 17Jan 29, 2010 12:09 am Sounds like your getting there with your colours Rhi Are you using the Laminex range as well ($750 upgrade for us), I found the choices a lot better than just sticking with the formica. Have you got a quote for having a paver out of the standard as a border? I was thinking of doing that but am lost as to what colour I would use , think I will end up going Whitecliffe bricks though, the more I think about it the more I sway towards that colour. My kitchen is laminex abyssinian stone bench with laminex fossil cupboards, fingers crossed it looks great in big form Don't even want to think about pre start yet Did you get your plant yet?? Any more contact from red!nk? Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 18Jan 29, 2010 8:51 am Nice colour choices Rhi, they complement each other well. Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 19Jan 29, 2010 9:11 am Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ So here goes, I think I have what I want now and I htink we may be moving our portico out like this one too depending on price of course Keeping in mind my house front is different but quite similiar I used Roof - Jasper Gutters - Jasper Fascia - Paperbark Windows - Jasper (black if cant get jasper) Roller door - Jasper Bricks - Whitecliffe (there alternative) Render - Army issue (dulux) need to find the solver alt of course Door - Army issue (same doors as what we are having Paving - Cream pavers with charcoal border Hey Purple Butterfly the kitchen colours sound great, and yeah we are upgrading the ofrmica to lam for the kitchen but not for the rest of the house as I can work with the formica in the others but the kitchen they didnt offer what I wanted for the kitchen benchtop I havent got a price back on the paving I am still waiting on all that. I have been told before home time today I will have the list of pricing but little did he know I then have a whole load of other questions poor guy I must admit he is really good and has helped us in every way he can. I am still waiting on my plant too. He said they were sending the site surveyers out but i wonder how they are going to get to our block as we dont have any roads and unless you cross country it you are in for a hike good luck to them! They might wait until the roads or some sort of way in is set up because I cant see how they are going to get in. We also had a quite price down for a patio out the back 4.5 x 7 = gable $5800 dome $6800 I budgeted 8k so I guess with some other quotes and getting them to beat each other down I might have some more money for prestart or my wood floors woohoo Hey what did they charge you extra for the oven and stove upgrade, we were going with a stand alone but am thinking now we get that and have the drawer underneath plus I have been told stand alones get dirty. Thanks V I have changed my mind now though but I do like the old colours too RHI - BALDIVIS PERTH 2005 Bought/Finished WA Housing Centre Home 2010 Building the Benchmark with REDINK Homes in The Avalon 2013 Building the Michigan with Cont3nt Living In Highbury Estate! Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 20Jan 29, 2010 10:35 am Got our pricing and we have just added Kitchen - same as Purple butterflys Bathroom(both) - mirrors full length Main bedroom - doors on robes Paving - front extended as well as near door made wider Bedrooms - Recessed robes on 2 of the bedrooms and a few other little things. I really need to keep a tab on everything we have changed and what we were quoted unless they want to forget about the costs I can see my 8k for prestart becoming more like 20k RHI - BALDIVIS PERTH 2005 Bought/Finished WA Housing Centre Home 2010 Building the Benchmark with REDINK Homes in The Avalon 2013 Building the Michigan with Cont3nt Living In Highbury Estate!
