Are considering combining the colours/contract into one appt due to the hassle of driving to bris and organising a babysitter, although the thought of doing all of this in one day seems as horrible as doing it over a couple of appts. Are the colours people good?? We have renovated before so have a good idea already of what colours etc we want but it will be the tweaking of it all that I am hoping they can help with. Re: Plantation Homes 5Sep 27, 2009 2:40 pm Contract and colours are usually booked for same day anyway. We did our contracts in the morning (3hrs) then had lunch and did the colours in the afternoon (another 3hrs). We had all of our colours chosen as we had been to the place several times to check out the options (highly recommend it), and had already chosen our tiles at the tile shop previously. Can't imagine walking into the colours appt with no decisions made. Electricals were a few weeks later for another 2hrs. We have done much of our stuff by email back and forth. Much easier. We too had our contact and colour appointments on the same day, much more convenient to do it this way. We had most of our colours sorted so the colour appointment only took us 1.5 hours. The begining process with contracts signing, cosham colour, electricals and so on is the longest bit in our building process. But once that was over the build itself has been very fast and smooth. It helps if you get a very good SS and CSA as we have been fortunate to. We are building a two storey house in Nth Lakes and we are due for handover next tuesday. Good luck with your build and hope its also a smooth build. I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
