HELP! 44Aug 01, 2009 10:51 am Im really shocked that you are having these issues with Kings. I have found both our supervisor and Natalie King to be nothing but professional and helpful in all our dealings with major problems. I think your issue might come down to the amount of interested parties you have and the no control aspect of your purchase, unlike most of us here, we have been involved in all the decisions in the main in our build. I am sorry you are homeless and having to go through this. Have you tried setting up a meeting with Natalie and maybe your solicitor. I am sure she would accommodate it. And the scilicon thing with the tiles. We have just finished our build and do not have this. We got the most professional cut in corners you could ever see, I have mentioned this on Liannes site, so I think its down to the tradies and as well all know, they subcontract to all builders. we are selling and moving to the coast, if you know someone who wishes to buy in Mernda Villages, please visit this link http://www.realestate.com.au/property-h ... -107083288 Re: House different to contract..... soon to handover???? HELP! 45Aug 01, 2009 11:13 am Well.... I'm not too shocked after hearing other horror stories about Kings. And now it's gone to the legal department of Kings. So can't really speak to anyone! They are in a little bit of trouble as it's now become apparent that that who ever it was (??????) issued a building permit with council or laurimers approval. Hence why our house dosen't meet covernts and can't get a certificate of occoupancy. So still waiting! Our SS or SF, what ever they get called has actually apparently been fried! Nick.... OMG, he was shocking! Even attempted to shut down our final inspection. Think he took every single imperfection personally. And sware black and blue that Kings "standard" is 450ml from internal structure..... isntead of the external facade. As per the standard of arci centre! It's crazy some on the stuff he was pulling! Were now off to try and have a relaxing weekend for Hubby's birthday! Fingers crossed we don't get interupted by house crap! It's really beginning to affect us. HELP! 46Aug 01, 2009 11:28 am Usually a building permit doesnt go to Council, its done by external outsourcing company who act as an agent. And usually the developer approval is done by the purchaser, who in this case I think is your real estate agent?? or whoever put the package together, who are meant to go to the developer with the plans and have them stamped. We did this as part of the work we needed to do, to get Stockland to approve them. Nic B got fired? I find this hard to believe as he was our supervisor and he is still with them and many ppl on here have a great admiration for his professional work and nature. I think you have had a rough trot for sure but think you should also appreciate that there may be a lot of history and the best way forward is in resolution. I think too that maybe if it is in legals that it might be best for the acusations and identication of ppl and the issues remain inhouse until it is resolved, and we might all be keen to see how this went when you have resolved it. I am merely thinking of protecting your interest here, as defamation laws in this country can be quite costly and I thought this forum had certain rules about this stuff. I really hope it all gets sorted for you and you have an enjoyable weekend for your hubbys birthday! we are selling and moving to the coast, if you know someone who wishes to buy in Mernda Villages, please visit this link http://www.realestate.com.au/property-h ... -107083288 Re: House different to contract..... soon to handover???? HELP! 47Aug 02, 2009 9:18 pm Thanks for your "legal" advice. I can say whatever i like about the bad treatment we are getting from kings..... as we don't have a legal contract with them! Therefore not complicating a thing speaking badly of them.... We purchased off Delfin Reality.... who were listing this property for a smaller investment developer. He is the one with a direct contract with Kings. And who now is having trouble with Kings which in turn majorly effects us! And now also Laurimer has the same issues with the developer and kings..... it's a really sticky situation. And had we known all this infomation at time of singing contracts with the investment developer we would not have signed and built ourselves i'm sure! But now it's too late for us to pull out, as we are now homeless, and having to live with the in laws. And yes.... If you think your nick is also our old nick.... he has been fired. He got a extrememly bad report given to Kings head office and regional general manager from me personally.... and then once meeting our neighbours nextdoor and across the road. They both said the same. So it seems i was the 3rd very bad report in as many weeks. He customer service skills were worse than a teenage maccas person on a bad day! Also.... went to house today on way home from lovely weekend away. And after being told that work had started to rectify the issues.... there has been nothing done! So it will be interesting! HELP! 49Nov 04, 2009 2:56 pm Just to let anyone know who might be interested! We are finally in our new home..... After mean't to be in on the 20 July..... we finally got handover on the 10th October! Kings HAD to rectifiy outstanding issues with eaves, than they compensated for areas that didn't "have" to change! We still have a whole host of issues.... that we are yet to get to the bottom of. And a letter is being sent to Kings with our disgust of everything they have put us though and all out standing issues! Hopefully these errors arn't made again for anyone! It's a horrible ordeal to go through! Kirby xoxo Texas Aston Joe became our world on the 20th December 2007 Pregnant again this time Due on Xmas Day..... We must have a thing with December!
