Are they using stainless steel screws as opposed to fixing off with a nail gun? Not all timbers are of same quality. If you think quotes vary so much check out some of there work and see the difference. Is there also some balustrade included in that? I had 28m2 of engineered pavers laid six months back and it was difficult to find someone not taking the pi$$.
