Pics? 7Jul 12, 2009 1:02 am Thank you all so much! You "get" the look we're trying to achieve. Beautiful pics. And lots of encouragement for all-white! gweluphome - that stainless steel splashback is stunning!!! I'll bet it would be mega-expensive? Would love to have that kitchen... We have an island bench that is 4 metres long plus equivalent bench along the wall with the cooktop (but some of this is reduced with cupboards an cooktop. So a lot of benchspace and cupboards. So if we went with the stonelook/brown/grey 600x600mm tile it would really stand out. Which might not be a good thing... But it might be OK The 100x300mm white tiles would be great but they seemed a bit too stark compared to the benchtop. The sales consultant screwed up her nose so I wasn't very encouraged to go that way! We do have the option of laying 300mmD x 600mmW (horizontal) oversized, rectified edge tiles in the "Biscuit" (very slightly off-white). Would this look odd, having large brick-like blocks across the splashback? I've not seen it done in magazines, etc. This is the tile we've chosen for our bathrooms, laid vertically. And it matches in very well with the whole look. Pity we can't have that same tile in 600mm x 600mm or 100mm x 300mm. Re: All-white kitchen advice please. Does it work? Pics? 8Jul 12, 2009 3:57 pm doghouse Hi - here is our kitchen. We have Laminex polar white cupboards and Caesarstone Snow benchtops 40mm. Splashback is Dulux Winter Waves, a fairly dark sort of teal colour. And floors are American Oak with a matte finish. Nice kitchen Doghouse!! I like the idea of doing the island bench in a wood benchtop. That would add warmth - it would be a really lovely feature. Re: All-white kitchen advice please. Does it work? Pics? 9Jul 12, 2009 9:26 pm My kitchen choices were white gloss cupboard in Snowdrift and creamy whiteish c/stone benches in Osprey. SO I am all for white. Our floors are porcelain tiles in a colour called Aristo Beige. I am planning on a DEEP red glass splashback to break the witishness of it all (obviosuly not for your style of kitchen). I like the pics that were posted, all of them. Pics? 15Jul 14, 2009 10:57 pm I like the idea of white based cupboards with a black benchtop and the splashback bringing in the colour. Re: All-white kitchen advice please. Does it work? Pics? 16Jul 23, 2009 11:39 pm Hi SuH, I love the photo of your kitchen. Forgive my ignorance but is this a new one or the one you did 20 years ago? I love the white kitchen and wondered what colour your bench tops are? We have decided on designer white 2 pack gloss and are still working on which benchtops to get. We like caesarstone ice snow and osprey (this might look a bit cream?). Thanks. Re: All-white kitchen advice please. Does it work? The CS is Nougat, if you want something whiter, Essastone Basmati is a tad whiter and has less fleck. I actually like it better with white as it's closer in colour. Does it work? Pics? 20Jul 24, 2009 3:43 pm I love all white. The pictures posted here are gorgeous. We are going with a white feel. We will then bring some colour in with the walls. I don't think it ever dates. It is classic and timeless. If you go through the decorator magazines which I do religiously lol you will see a lot of all white kitchens. A question.
