Re: wisdomhomes and double galzed windows 16Jun 16, 2009 8:09 pm stonecutter1309 16C is pretty good. Our rental - although a new house - has no wall insulation (or it's really crappy and the house has leaks somewhere) - we wake up to 11C in Mt Druitt My parents have roller blinds and there are quite a few gaps so you don't get good thermal efficiency on the window coverings (compared to pelments and curtains) Sorry to be ignorant here, but what are pelments? Building a Wisdom Prosperity 23 - http://erwisdomprosperity.blogspot.com/ Re: wisdomhomes and double galzed windows 19Jun 21, 2009 11:15 am Hi ibe6ube9, We have a quote for the Trend Quantum Thermashield Windows (double glazed, alumimium, sliding + awning in bathrooms) and for our Aspiration 35 it's around $10,000 the upgrade. I suggest you go and have a look to Trend's showroom (44-52 Mandoon Road, Girraween) to see by yourself the difference between the standard and the Quantum range. I did ask for another quote for the Upvc windows double glazed upgrade...when the said $45,000... ...I think I nearly had a heart attack ! Hope this helps, Fred PS: I still find weird to ask for this upgrade, as where I'm from (France) this has been the standard for decades, they're up to triple glazing overthere!!
