Very good point! Then you can just ask people for vouchers for your engagement and wedding gifts! That will make buying furniture much more affordable!

Love the furniture, it all looks very nice and modern. I recently updated ours with very similar stuff but in dark chocolate colour, I can't wait to get it all in the new house!

We were so close to getting the darker colour too! But we have one bookcase at home in the lighter colour, so thought we'd better match that. So excited about it all, but it will sit in storage for while yet

Oh yes definately, he knocked off almost $700 all up. Plus... because we dont need it right now, he's not ordering it in from the manufacturer for another 6 months or so, and he's copping the price increases in doing so. He's been VERY good to us

I find it rather amusing that two Geelong supporters have good taste in furniture.

The furniture you've picked out is great. The fact that it's the nice wooden look, rather than that of the modern retina-burning white crap that a lot of people buy today. In 20 years time, you'll look back at those purchases and think "one less thing to purchase" when you move into your next home. The look you've chosen is like purchasing a pool table, you have two choices:
* Traditional
* Modern

If you purchase a traditional pool table, it'll look great in your next house. The modern won't. Sorry, I had to throw in a pool table comment somehow!

I find it rather amusing that two Geelong supporters have good taste in furniture.

Geelong supporters are the bomb BigRed, dont underestimate us, ever! Oh visited the display again today, with a tape measure. We have to change our electrical plan now to suit our pool table. The way we had the lights running (east/west) wont give enough space for playing shots, so we now have to change our lights to run north/south the way them table will sit. The room is designed around the table. Need to look at shelves for the trophies now too. Oh and wine barrels (these will be our bar tables), as we bought bar stools today. Anyone know where we can buy wine barrels?

Try an outdoor garden centre, there is one near where I live (in the outer south east) that sells whole ones or halves.

Glad to see you're doing the right thing by the pool table and designing the room around it. That's the difference between a successful pool room, and a not-so-sucessful.

In regards to the shelves, visit your local bunnings and go to the MDF section. Nothing better than a MDF rugged-looking shelf.

Aaron, if you've got a bit of muscle like me good-self, we can sneak down to the Irish Pub at Knox City Ozone. They have about 6 of them in their outdoor area. It'll be a difficult operation, but definitely do-able. :-)

Hahaha, you wouldn't happen to know Annice Smoel? Don't worry, I think we're all guilty of stealing a few beer glasses from the local!

Yeah, I hate that fruit and vegitable stand as well. That's my main gripe with shopping centres. Why do they feel it's necessary to put these massive objects in the middle of walkways? It's already painful enough trying to push passed the 50 year old mothers who decide to suddenly stop in the walkway to look at something. This is the very reason why I only shop at Kmart Burwood 24/7.....at 2:00am! I'm actually looking forward to moving away from Knox, it's too busy for my lifestyle.

I just want to sit on the porch with my rocking chair, esky of beer and pretend I'm Clint Eastwood from Gran Torino.
