Looking good Ryan!...how very exciting...and what a pleasant surprise to have them working on a Sunday!

I'm boggled and amazed at how they get the overhead cupboards fixed to the wall?? One day there is just plaster and the next there are cupboards just hanging there

How on earth do they do that??...could someone enlighten me please?

I am not sure either. Maybe they drill into the studs and fix them there? I really dont know. Maybe Harry Potter was involved?

Thanks heaps for asking Mundie.

This week didnt see a lot of work, but the skirting, doors, architraves etc for fixing were delivered and the chippie made a start yesterday. According to our SS there are still a couple of days work from him to go. He said that the painters should start Monday weather permitting, so fingers crossed for some sunshine.
I will try and find a way to sneak in so I can take some photos later on today and post them.

We are getting tiles to the main areas/wet areas as per standard plan and have upgraded the carpet to all bedrooms, leisure room. Cant wait for the painting to be done and the tiles put in so we can see it all come together.

Update.

Well it has been a very quick two weeks and I havent been able to get any photos of the house. I organised a walkthrough with our SS but his son had taken ill causing him to pull out. I did manage to get inside when the painter was there yesterday (without my camera of course...). The undercoat has gone onto the doors and ceiling and the stone benchtop has been installed. The painter thinks he will finish next Friday, then along comes the tiler. The painter has been there every day this week, which is awesome.

We had a problem with water pooling on the outdoor area section of the slab and leaning against the house. They have since re-concreted that area, no hassles at all. Gotta take my hat off to the SS.

Our real front door has been installed and there is currently a VERY white undercoat on it. We went blind shopping the other day and have picked out some blinds, got a quote and are pretty happy with it. We should be getting them in to measure the windows up within the next couple of weeks.

Things are really happening now! Cant wait for the tiles to go in so we can see the colours.

Gday Guys,

Finally! We have some pics for you. They have been plodding along these last couple of weeks with the paint and now the tiles have started. The tiler should be finished by the end of this week and the internal paint is due to be finished tomorrow. The painter has done an excellent job and we are stoked with the way the colours are turning out. Our SS seems to think we will be at handover in around 6-8 weeks if all goes well.

Countdown is on!!!!

Hooray for painting and tiles Ryan. Looking fantastic. We will also have white and brown tiles in our bathroom, I hope ours look as good as yours do. The white smaller tile looks the same as what we picked. Great choice!
