Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Westminster Homes - The official thread 131Apr 29, 2009 9:31 am Hi, I spoke with my site manager on Monday and whilst he said they are only looking at receiving 38 to 43 cents in the dollar over the next 3 years of what is owed to him, he will still come back and he said that he feels most tradies will come back too as many have not found any other work. I asked him how long until work starts again on my site (if the DOCA is agreed upon) and its a matter if him calling all tradies for all the sites he is looking after and booking them all in again - I figure a 1-2 week lead time. I am feeling positive ! For those who are attending the meeting, it would be very appreciated if you could give a summary, I have littlies and somehow I dont think my 3 year old will sit quietly ! Re: Westminster Homes - The official thread 132Apr 29, 2009 4:30 pm This feels like either xmas eve or the day before armageddon. I'm excited and scared. Can I please beg anyone who attends tomorrow to post a result as soon as they can? Please please please. I will go out (further out) of my mind waiting. Good Luck everyone. My fingers are so crossed. I was reading the Wincrest thread and they seemed to have a couple of week wait for a return to work. Carmel. Re: Westminster Homes - The official thread 133Apr 29, 2009 8:58 pm Hi Everyone, I should be back at work around 1p.m. and I will post the result as soon as I can. I am with you, I am very nervous but I am tired of waiting and will be glad when it is over. I does look positive thoug, the administrators would not be making a deal with the creditors that would get the co. undone. I think they are in the business of fixing the problems if they can, and they seem to be confident that they can . (xmas or armagadon, I like that!) Let's wish ourselves good luck. Till tomorrow. T. Re: Westminster Homes - The official thread 139Apr 30, 2009 3:11 pm it will be about 2 weeks before you see any real movement, bigest delay will be the owners just waiting for appliances to go in as suppliers won't deliver until they get the official notification in writing. Some suppliers will say now way see you layer jack. Most of the trades will go back in a few days after setting up some revised trading terms. This how it went down with another "W" builder. Re: Westminster Homes - The official thread 140Apr 30, 2009 4:01 pm doca was voted in and the directors have 21days 2 sign off on it, but they said they would be sign sometime next week barry was made 2 put up 1milion of his money which no matter how thngs go he doesnt get back. then they will recommence with in about 3weeks to amonth would b my guess. it was always oing 2 have this out come regardless as the company had been pulling proxy votes and had the majority say...lets see how thngs go frm here..... I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending. All their existing trades and businesses don't work with… 14 109949 Hi there!
