Today I was checking up the building site staying behind the fence (on the nature strip) and asked a tradie if they can answer one question. They gladly agreed and I asked whether a specific element of the house normally supposed to be fixed or it doesn't require permanent fixing? I was referring to my currenrt house where that element is quite noisy. They said that they are normally fixing that element with nails and other tradies do not know how to do it properly. I said great, thank you for your time and have a great day. - literally 30 seconds conversation.
Did I potentially breach a standard contract conditions?
Is it normal for a builder / site supervisor to send this kind of "reminders"?
...
Please refrain from entering the site and providing direction to trades as this is a breach of your contract conditions. Any further breaches will lead to the build being placed on hold. I know this sounds harsh but we must abide by the rules which are there for good reason.
Honestly, I reckon tradies we ok with me chatting for half a minute. However, it looks like the site supervisor is exaggerating. What do you think am I in wrong?
Thanks.
