Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 06, 2021 8:12 pm Hi, I have been trying to get answers regarding the condition of my slab. It has many faults that will get inspected at frame stage but as my house is a zero lot boundary I wanted things corrected before next door goes up. My private inspector and surveyor were both advised that issues would be sorted at frame mark up, but when driving by tonight the frame is up and even more damage to slab now. The slab is 4cm short on one wall that will be hidden once next door is up. The slab at my front door has a huge corner crumbmed away. Most edges you can crumble away. My inspector was very concerned. Im going to contact the site supervisor again tomorrow to hopefully get an explanation as to why frame still went up. First time builder and shocked with the quality of workmanship. Can these things be fixed? Please see attached photos. You cab get an independent concrete testing company to core through your slab and take it away for Lab testing. Not recommended! The image presented is for a sublevel area. The footings are down deep with a load bearing wall supporting the upper floor level.
