They delivered all the bricks in 2 batches but haven’t started yet since they went on Christmas break. Have noticed the neighbours house also no progress at the same stage so just wondering whats happening?? I'm in brick stage. They started on the 14th of January and they're one third complete. Hi Adam_17, How are they going with the brickwork? Have they finished? Hi Adam_17, How are they going with the brickwork? Have they finished? They haven't progressed at all. It took them 3 days last week to put up the scaffolding and this week all they've done is finish the roof frame. My SS told me the brick layers go straight to another job and only return once they finish that job and the scaffolding is up. Has yours started? Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 16326Feb 05, 2022 2:22 pm Hi everyone! I can't believe I didn't find this page earlier - so much info here, thank you. We are KDR the Washington 37 Dual Living so that we can look after my parents. We have CQ appointments over the next 2 weeks so I am madly doing research on colours. Outside we feel we have good ideas (have been to Austral and PGH appointments). I'd love thoughts and pictures of kitchens and bathrooms if anyone has some! What did you choose for the caesarstone? Colours of cabinets? Flooring? Splashback and wall colour? We have a few ideas and like whites, pale grey and woodgrain. Love the Caesarstone fresh concrete but have heard it is hard to keep clean so looking towards Organic White. Any thoughts and advice welcome! Minimal splash backs due to windows, but looking at ultra white where needed, with gloss 'ultra white' cabinets above. The fridge alcove and 'microwave tower' will also be cinder giving the kitchen 2 racing stripes 🤣. The bathrooms: I don't have names for the tiles and cabinets, but I am using the ambassador 41 at Oran Park for my inspiration. Using the tile on the right of the entrance ( https://imgur.com/a/JdnT8wZ ) as the floor tiles, and the tiles actually on the walls for walls. Nougat caresarstone and similar coloured cabinets as the display ( https://imgur.com/a/Bk6EnI9 ) no feature wall Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 16331Feb 09, 2022 5:23 am diepiggy Na, 4 weeks away. I thought basix was a score of the efficiency of the home, and upgrades may be required to'pass' I think this way, my CSR emailed me saying BASIX has been approved and send to estimating team, waiting for variation. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 16332Feb 09, 2022 5:35 am diepiggy So I just got a notification in the wisdom homes portal saying 'basix complete'. Should I be expecting cost variations now due to basix , or does that come after cdc/da approval? That came up early for me as well, I believe it's just a draft. It will be complete towards the end of the admin process when they send you the variations required to gain your BASIX. Your brick and roof colours get taken in to account so you definitely will need those chosen first before BASIX is complete. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 16334Feb 09, 2022 6:21 am diepiggy Yeah I gave them the bricks, roof etc selection last year via email. All good, just wondering. I wanna get this show on the road!!! Do you need developer approval in the area you're building? That stuffed me up with BASIX as the developer wouldn't let me have a lighter coloured roof and so I had to change that and then redo BASIX. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 16337Feb 15, 2022 1:29 pm Anyone currently under-construction with Wisdom facing delays? Or how is your build progressing at what stage? Speaking to some, there seems to be massive delays specifically with brickwork when other builders in the same neighbourhood are progressing pretty well. We are building Manhattan 52, they have done the pool area and just waiting now on our bank for the letter of authority to commence construction on the house. I am a newbie here and loved all the post and comments - thanks guys! Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 16339Feb 24, 2022 2:18 pm diepiggy SunnyHill , how's it all coming along? Thanks for asking!
