Re: Ducted reverse cycle air con, is it worth it? 5Jan 09, 2019 6:24 pm Multi-splits are much more efficient than zoned ducted systems, easier to install too, save some roof and storage space (if double storey). Multi-split units can also be ducted (e.g. in bulk heads) or cassette (integrated into ceiling) too. Re: Ducted reverse cycle air con, is it worth it? 6Jan 09, 2019 6:28 pm We have a ducted refrigerated system (cooling & heating) in our KDRB house which is 42 sq 2 storey and we think it was the best money we spent in the build. When we built in 2016 the 22kw Brivis system was $16.9k with 15 outlets. If you are building 2 storey, you won’t regret going ducted refrigerated. Will have 1 in kids wing, 1 in living area, and will install one in master and probably media after we move in. Re: Ducted reverse cycle air con, is it worth it? 9Aug 21, 2019 3:40 pm Is the ducted reverse cycle include heating and cooling and both uses electricity? Does it heat the house effectively? We have ducted gas heating and it does warm the house effectively. In our second build, we are thinking to go for electric ducted heating and cooling. We are in the process of building a double storey home so definitely need to have it included in our build. We are thinking to go for ducted reverse cycle heating and cooling as we don't prefer gas heating and planning to install solar panels after hand over.
