A meeting should be arranged on site with the Inspector, the supervisor and the construction manager from Metricon to ensure that is has been completed to the standard. This could resolve in them having to pull up the tiles and ensure that the waterproofing is in fact done! I've come across this type of issue with various of builders and majority of the time the work has to be re-done. Good Luck and keep me updated with what you achieve. Metricon would have had their own inspector look at it and sign off, which means they wont have failed the standards. Re: Building with Metricon - Compensation for cancelled insp 9Dec 11, 2018 6:42 pm Waterproofing is not a mandatory inspection the builders only get a certificate from the waterproofing company's. The mandatory inspection by the VBA are 1. preslab/base 2. steel for the slab 3. frame 4. final the only thing I can suggest is get a copy of the certificate Hi, First of all, thank you to this community for sharing your thoughts and opinions.
