Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Oct 24, 2018 3:13 pm I'm after a rough idea on demolition price for a small weatherboard around 12sq house on stumps if anyone has any advice? Just trying to get an idea of how much a knock down rebuild will end up costing. The age of the houses i'm looking at may have asbestos involved. I know the price will vary from house to house but just want an idea Thanks Re: demolition cost 5Oct 25, 2018 7:59 am I paid just under $20k this year for a bigger brick house, including large concrete pool removal and fill and some fiddly work (brick wall along boundary right next to neighbour). Most quotes were around that . can highly recommend the people that did mine if you need a recommendation Re: demolition cost 6Oct 26, 2018 9:46 am Brokenstick I would be happy to hear who you used. Sounds like a reasonable price for everything you had done Re: demolition cost 7Oct 26, 2018 9:56 am Hi guys, All sound advice so far. The biggest 'red flag' you raise to cost thought is the potential Asbestos issue. You really HAVE to know the extent of this before you could estimate what it will cost you demolish the house. The extent and type of asbestos will have a serious impact on cost. Maybe it is an idea to get an asbestos report done, identify the extent and type, then use this as a base for quotes? The cost for the asbestos test won't be super cheap, but at least you're not going to get a fright halfway through demolition! All the best!
