Browse Forums Kitchen Corner Caulk between floorboard and kitchen island? 4Oct 14, 2018 8:57 pm kirashogun About 1-2mm. Dirt dust water can definitely get in. I can even see a little bit of what looks like support leg inside. Is that right? Ours are about 1mm at the worst (floorboards are not perfectly uniform being made of recycled timber). I guess if I thought about it, I'd like a tighter fit, but 1 to 2mm is pretty small. I do agree, however, that caulk will just end up looking dirty.
