Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Would you recommend JG KING? bit nervous! 22Mar 10, 2009 9:56 am We are going very basic! We were looking at the caraway 175, not many changes, just the feature wall and another door to the garage and also a sliding door at the back of the house!
The other one is The hawthorn from Rawdon! Only marginal dollars in it but the hawthorn has an alfresco included so im thinking thats a huge plus, and also includes downlights! However JGK incl stone benches but we think thats something we can easily change 12months later! I think the alfresco is worth the minor increase in price! Just waiting on a quote from rawdon to compare the diff in cost between the companies! Who r u with now? Re: Would you recommend JG KING? bit nervous! 23Mar 10, 2009 10:10 am i almost went with them but after 14 months and no contract...
just turned me off! also they were not able to show me one completed house fairly close to my area. I insisted this b/c it would be a good example of the team that was going to be doing my house... in fairness to them, mine was 100% custom which i think is out of their league and they may be ok building their own designs. pm me if you want to know specifics. smeags. ---->Some say that a recession is when your neighbour loses his/her job while a depression is when you lose yours!<----- Re: Would you recommend JG KING? bit nervous! 24Nov 21, 2013 3:52 pm I know this is an old thread but every time I type in building with JG King, this thread keeps popping up. When I was doing my research on JG King, I kept getting old threads and comments so thought rather then starting another thread, I'd just update this one. Sorry if this bothers anyone. So far, my experience with JG King has been fantastic. At this point in time I would be more then happy to recommend them to anyone. Please PM me if you want to ask me anything and I'll try to respond. The Sales Rep was great, Admin Staff have been very helpful too. We have only just started the building now but it has been going really well. I've only spoken with the Site Supervisor over the phone but from the chat we had, he seems pretty good. I'm looking forward to meeting him. If anything changes I will of course Post here again, AND if things go well, I will also post to keep people up to date. Re: Would you recommend JG KING? bit nervous! 25Aug 16, 2018 9:36 pm abbstar11 Hi, im starting to get very nervous as we have found the perfect design for our land with jg king, however, most of the reviews i have seen say they would not build again and this went wrong and that went wrong.... blah blah blah! Has anyone here got any good or bad reviews? Thanks again - just getting all info before we get a contract going! Dont do it. Find urself a decent builder. Im under so much stress and i do not have the house i asked for or paid for. Re: Would you recommend JG KING? bit nervous! 26Aug 16, 2018 9:40 pm abbstar11 Thanks for all the advice guys! Its hard when looking for a builder as almost ALL the companies have bad reports!!! At the moment we are choosing between JGK and Rawdon Hll, we like Rawdon a bit better but its a little more $$$. Thanks again Do not go with J G King. Save yourself a lot of stress .
