Visited the site in the morning - there was a Van with staircase written on it - which means stairs r in -
Also renderers were working outside putting Malay grey on pillars - scaffolding still all around the house

Have you been able to get a pic of the stairs yet? Exciting progress.

So my neighbour - rather builder has asked me to talk to his fencer about putting up a fence - I asked him to provide three quotes or whatever quote he has by email but he just replied - talk to my fencer - so off to council I will go and check what happens if I don’t go ahead - I know that it was s House and land package with fencing to be provided

Ok so since our main door is up - it means all our internal doors too must have been put up along with skirting - will book a site visit with SS in a few days - looks very small for my liking

Door looks fine PE, once the entrance is done I’m sure the pivot door will stand out more.
How high is the step down for the front door and are you looking at decking the entrance?

Door looks fine PE, once the entrance is done I’m sure the pivot door will stand out more.
How high is the step down for the front door and are you looking at decking the entrance?

It is about 172mm step down
Not sure about that at the moment but looking at tiling it also in similar tile to entrance

So exciting pEast. Is their timing back on track? Have you had many issues with your private inspections or are you generally happy with Arden’s product? It really looks like a house now

Had frame inspection from NHI employee-
DJM surveyor gave frame completion on 05/03/28
Kevin then did pre-plaster 23/3/18 and found around 18 items from frame stage many of which were structural not as per engineering
Got reports from DJM and then asked how have frame approval - they have now inspected and getting frame issues sorted.
Has been very slow since lock up.
Arden is still fixing frame stage stuff. That is the only positive. Almost 6 weeks into fixing stage

Hey PE, your facade looks great. Good news that Arden are fixing the defects from the report.
Looks like there’s always something happening at your place. It’s good that the house is all sealed before the wintery weather really hits.

Yes they fixing which is good and we had all the vanities and kitchen stuff dropped off

The kitchen and island are organic white #4600 but the remaining to butlers, laundry, both pdrs, common bathroom and ensuite are Ocean foam - obviously they will come only after painting is finished

But there is back log of frame stage still to be completed

Fixing stage - mostly ceiling line is around 7mm to 10mm out of level in mAny areas - so again cutting of plaster and cornices at those areas. The tolerance level is 4mm.
Add to around 7 issues remaining from pre-plaster to be fixed. They had put plaster without fixing pre-plaster issues and now had to cut the plaster.

The most amazing thing is pre-plaster given on 26/03/18. The plaster started on 06/4/18. The SS asked for recommendation from Engineers on 10/4/18 and they replied next day that the issues pointed in pre-plaster have to be fixed. So, those issues have not been completed even on 21/05/2018. This has caused major delay in progress of work.
