It sounds from your post like the Hydraulic engineer will also need to create water drainage diagrams and draw water pit locations in the correct spots to show all the water runoff from your landscaped house will end up in the correct places (i.e. not the neighbours yards). So having an accurately drawn plan might be needed for that. If you've already emailed H&H I'm sure they'll let you know either way.
