1st quarter has arrived and we are (im)patiently waiting for land to title. I heard a rumour it will be 15 March. Oh how I hope they stick to it. We are so ready to be in our new home!

Waiting is the worst part, I'm in the same boat at the moment. I just want my house already!

Ahh I just read through your thread. How frustrating!!! I hope the SoC is done asap for you. I'd be climbing the walls and yelling lol.

On another note your plans and colours look amazing, house will be beautiful when it's done.

Its the not knowing that annoys me most, they keep giving us dates then things dont happen but we get no explanation. Will be worth the wait though.

Got a land update today, all on track for mid-March, assuming it all gets approved by council etc. Ahhhhh so excited!! Cannot WAIT till we can sit on the dirt .. and then build a house etc hehe.

Contract signed
Has Como got developer approval - in my case we didn’t need land to title for DA. U can check the same with your Land developer.
Asset protection permit - we had to deposit on our own on settlement day - in some cases builder takes the asset protection from Council

Funds - I work in a bank (head office) and have actually made friends with someone in my building I would have never met otherwise lol

We have a trip to India in late April so hopefully nothing major happens in those 2 weeks.

Our block has a cross over now!

Oh really? The blocks over the road have theirs, on Weds they were still to do footpaths up the side streets but all the steel was there ready for concrete

Went for our weekly visit to the land yesterday and they were busy at work spreading topsoil/fill on the blocks and nature strips. We're getting so close!

Narrowed our building inspector choice down to 2.

Option 1
Offer slab, frame, lock up, fixing and final inspections for $2200 ish

Option 2
Offer slab, frame, lock up and final for $1500 ish

Both have taken the time to call me and provide example reports. Both are based local so it comes down to how important is a 'fixing' inspection? These can be reviewed during final inspection yes?

Both have taken the time to call me and provide example reports. Both are based local so it comes down to how important is a 'fixing' inspection? These can be reviewed during final inspection yes?

Fixing stage - mostly means checking waterproofing before wet area tiles are laid and so cannot reviewed during final inspection.

Don’t forget u should get pre- pour inspection to see that all form work is done as per engineering drawing before they pour concrete - slab is the next one and some check frame and slab at same time.
