That said, friends of ours use gas on an isolated property to fire a hydronic boiler. The gas company leases them one of those large tanks that you might typically see at a service station and it is filled on a schedule. Not sure what happens if they want to change supply in the future. So what do you have heating wise? Macedon 322/DFH 2016!! Heating for LPG 4Jan 27, 2018 10:31 am Electric powered air-to-water heat exchangers (air-source heat pumps) for in-slab hydronic heating. Not cheap to install, but we will be able to generate our own electricity in the future but never be able to supply our own gas.

Have you considered ducted reverse cycle aircon with solar panels and batteries? Re: Heating for LPG 5Jan 27, 2018 6:37 pm LPG is the most expensive form of heating I have come across. Some years ago we rented a house with LPG heating. After one winter we went to the landlord and offered to pay half to convert to reverse cycle air conditioning. Probably paid back our half in two years. Since then gas has gone up and reverse cycle efficiency has improved so there is no way I would be using LPG for a new house. A couple of years ago I did a comparison just for cooking at anewhouse.com.au which shows an induction hob is a better choice, especially if you have got solar panels on the roof The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get ! Does anyone have a suggestion for a good hydronic in slab heating speacialist who may be able to help me with an existing system and wether or not it may need a seperator… 0 5377 |
