The sewing room is some kind of hot pink... my wife's pick coz that's her retreat. It's by Laminex
The kitchen bench is Frosty Carina, essentially one level down from the high end Calcutto (marble look) by Caesarstone. I'm justifying not going for uber-marble look by saying that the Carina will look cleaner... Haha!
I love the white Attica but I just cannot justify the price
I think I’m going to go with Pure White throughout which is expensive enough!

I think you will be fine to go with Pure White. The stone will still make it look fab. I think once you start going marble look you really have to make the rest of the house look luxurious or it could just look out of place!?
Our good friends in town just had their kitchen redone with the Pure White stone too. I think they are happy with their choice!
Otherwise I did make concessions to make our kitchen look premium. It's all just trying to count the dollars and cents in the end!![/quote]
It’s amazing how quickly it all adds up. A couple of hundred here and a thousand there and suddenly you’re way over budget. I’m thinking of painting the outside of the house blue charcoal with vivid white wood frames around the windows and I’m going for a char blue feature island and polar white matte everywhere else. I think white Attica would really finish off the look. It would also finish off my bank balance lol! Your house is looking beautiful I can’t wait to get to this stage. The admin phase really drags.
