M3etricons Lindeman 23

I'm so happy I have after many months I have finally made up my mind to build the Lindeman23. Is there anyone building this house if so please give me some feedback, Thanks

Hi vivica7604,
Good luck with your house. I get the keys for my, Lindeman 27 tomorrow. Yah!
The build has been good with not too many problems.

One of the things you should think about now is the electrical side of things. We had a lot more power points and lights installed. I think we double the number of power points in the house, added a few more lights (down the hallway and above the oven), an extra TV point in the retreat, automatic garage opener, an outdoor plug by the alfresco and more exterior lights.

We also added a door from the garage into the house and moved the alcove from the garage into the house. In the future we plan to add move cupboards in this space.

I just signed my contract today, they said they will have this finished in 5 months, is this true?

vivica7604, M layed my slab on 5/9/2008 and today it's finished!
So our build was about 6.5 months if you take into consideration the Christmas break.

We are building the Lindeman23. We have our slab and (hopefully) our frame will go up this week. I definitely second the comment about the electricals! Make sure that you get what you want in this department. Where are you building? Good luck for it all!!!

Hi, we are building the Lindeman 23 traditional with Metricon.Today is our slab date, frame is scheduled for next monday.We are on the Gold Coast in a Stockland estate.Had the land settlement last december, and signed the house contract on the same day.Metricon is great,fast and had no problems with them.We had lots of upgrades, and I would say their prices are ok. Next door will be a metricon house as well, poured the slab in the beginning of january, and the house is almost complete.(tiled and kitchen is in)Pretty fast...
Can't wait to move in

I'm building in a estate called Camalda in South Morang VIC, did OH my god having trouble with bricks did anyone upgrade on bricks, I'm really trying not to upgrade

vivica, your building around the corner from where i currently live... camalda seems by far the nicer estate on gordons rd as the others are too close to the high tension power lines! I too have a friend building with metricon but i can't remember what house!

What bricks do you have to choose from?

We went with the standard bricks. Would have liked to upgrade but it always comes down to the money...

I was going to buy in Doreen but found it a little too far, whay are you moving from south morang?

Living with my parents still, my partner and i thought about south morang but its getting very busy around here and alot of hoons so we decided to go that 5-10 mins further up the road! For me to get to work its actually the same time (15 mins) as i can drive straight bridge inn rd to high st and straight down to work also we have quite a nice view of the mountains as we are at the top of the hill!

We just went with the standard bricks. There were a couple we liked so why upgrade? In the end we choose, Rouge which we really liked.

Were building M3tricon Soho 32.

Ground work started 16/10/08 and should be ready 11/5/09.

All M3tricon contracts state:

Build contracted timeframes are 263 days including 25 for bad weather and 71 days for w/e, public holidays, rdo's.

Just had an update from M3tricon. Now house wont be ready until 23/05/09.

See they milk that 263 days. The only thing that needs to be done is driveway and decking right now. Delayed another 2 weeks for that. M3tricon have been good but this is disappointing.

How exciting that you will be in your house in a month. Great stuff. We were interested in the Soho but decided to go with Jasper. We are into week 13 now and still finishing off bricking. I think they will be using all their time with our house. We did have delays due to the weather in Brissie but that is why they make allowances just in case. Love to see some photos when you are in Moody.
