Congrats Raphal761; How long did the council take to get your DA approved since submission of your plans?
Hi ElDream,
They took nearly 7 weeks to process the DA approval.
Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Stockland Elara at Marsden Park 2594Oct 02, 2017 8:53 pm Why is it Lynch? That wasn't even one of the previous options? Also, there is only a small amount of elara still in marsden park. Why have an estate that runs across two suburbs? Silly. Re: Stockland Elara at Marsden Park 2596Oct 03, 2017 11:05 am Hi members, I am building with Wisdom Homes, my building agreement says the builder is not required to obtain occupancy certificate or final inspection certificate. I am confused, it is not the case in general, I would think. Please clarify Re: Stockland Elara at Marsden Park 2597Oct 03, 2017 3:25 pm ElDream16 What is the boundary for Elara Marsden Park? Currently the proposed boundary will be Elara Blvd. One side will be Marsden Park, the other side Blacktown council is proposing "Lynch". I believe both sides of Elara Boulevard, ie. houses with entrance from Elara Boulevard, will be in Marsden Park.. Re: Stockland Elara at Marsden Park 2599Oct 03, 2017 3:33 pm @ElDream16: Which builder constructed your current house? Was it also stipulated in your contract with them? WH should at least provide you with an Interim Occupation Certificate. Prior to your final walkthrough you can then try to secure the Final Occupation Certificate from Council free of charge. If Council says you cannot obtain the FOC then there must be a reason why and they will tell you as well. You may be able to obtain a hard copy of the latest inspection report for a very minimal fee. Re: Stockland Elara at Marsden Park 2600Oct 03, 2017 3:55 pm Hi All Has anyone used a blend face brick in Elara? The guidelines suggests that Face brick must be smooth finish and single in colour. Red, black, blend or mottled colour bricks will not be endorsed. I am thinking to use Holiday Blend brick from Austral Bricks which is a combination of Freedom and Unwind. My builder is suggesting that Elara will reject it and hence is not allowing me to use. Appreciate if anyone has used the same blend or any other blended bricks which was approved. I am in Frontier release. Thanks |
