Browse Forums Building A New House Re: The Jeffery Pad - Coral Homes - QLD 786Oct 09, 2017 8:05 pm So we have been in for almost 2 months already. Still the dishwasher does not work and we have issues with our concrete slab which has concrete blistering. They have had everyone out to look at it but no result which is frustrating as I have everything now stored in my entry way. If you rub one of the blemishes does it give way to the sandy rock under the surface? Have you had the concrete batching plant out to look at it? Are coral offering any suggestions on remediation? I hate hearing of things like this, you must be so disappointed I hope everything gets sorted out for you. Re: The Jeffery Pad - Coral Homes - QLD 789Oct 09, 2017 8:39 pm Yes its porous. The area manager, concrete, and batcher out. They are blaiming the sand used. Coral are not responding about an outcome yet. We raised this after slab was poured months ago and its worse now we are in. They are saying stuctual its ok but im considering calling qbcc to have it tested. https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell Re: The Jeffery Pad - Coral Homes - QLD 791Oct 10, 2017 3:34 pm doesn't look good fingers crossed for you that there's an easy solution ... Re: The Jeffery Pad - Coral Homes - QLD 792Oct 10, 2017 4:16 pm Grrr!! This sucks big time! Hopefully it can be rectified. Is it on the concrete that's visible (garage floor) that they've inspected or have they looked under carpets too? Re: The Jeffery Pad - Coral Homes - QLD 793Oct 10, 2017 6:19 pm No we haven't lifted carpets but I sent an email today asking for an outcome and the area manager was extremely great in getting back to me. He stepped out the processes he has taken and what is scheduled to move forward. They are grinding the floor, cleaning the floor and doing 2 top coats of epoxy. He has also said he will send someone out to inspect the slab and report the findings so I am extremely happy with the follow up. The work will not start for 3 weeks and I have stuffed stored in my entry way but its a small price to pay to have it rectified correctly https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell Re: The Jeffery Pad - Coral Homes - QLD 794Oct 10, 2017 7:05 pm That's such a bugger! Coral are doing an epoxy on the garage floor the process will start on the 30th of this month. Grind clean and 2 coats guess this will be over a few days. Dishwasher still having issues but we are working towards resolving it also dont feel hopeful the technika rep is a toss who thinks his *cough cough* dont stink. He sends a text message an hr before he arrives amd expects you to be avalible. I told him he needs to give more notice, surly he knew days ago he was coming! Anyway I will never recommend the brand or buy it myslef. https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell Re: The Jeffery Pad - Coral Homes - QLD 796Oct 20, 2017 11:42 pm Glad to hear you are settling in! I agree... homeone helps us stay sane during our builds. The support is amazing. I'm not sure where Technika sits compared to Westinghouse (which we are supplied and know it's not "premium") but I'm sorry you aren't happy with your supplied dishwasher! Good to hear your garage floor is getting sorted and still having issues with the dishwasher - that should have been replaced. We went owner supply and got a credit for about $370, you can bet if we didn't have one they would have quoted $800 lol. Re: The Jeffery Pad - Coral Homes - QLD 798Nov 13, 2017 7:24 pm Been a while since ive updated. We have finally got a credit for the dishwasher and I am suppling my own choice as the replacment to the faulty Technika will not disolve tablets or dry dishes. We are also in the process of having the garage floor completed. It was flaked today and they will be back to seal it tomorrow. It really has finished the floor making it look like a new home again not a floor which looked 20yrs old! Very happy with the follow up progress with coral and have recommended them to other friends. I also recommend this site to them as its helpful to get more then 1 opinion Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell Re: The Jeffery Pad - Coral Homes - QLD 799Nov 13, 2017 7:44 pm I love that garage flooring, we are going to get that done after handover Re: The Jeffery Pad - Coral Homes - QLD 800Nov 13, 2017 9:10 pm Wow your garage floor looks amazing!!! Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 15075 Hi so sorry for the late reply. I already contacted them and they wouldn't tell me instead they tried to get me to talk to one of their home coordinators and I'm not… 2 6258 Hi all. Anyone know when the $11,000 limit was set in legislation for renovations in QLD? Ive been renovating for 5 years now and this was the limit back then. As we know,… 0 4849 |
