Partly due to the build up of the cut being built out further than what the plans indicated and due to our land sloping away more sharply at the very back. There is a big 2m+ slope at the very back now due to the build up of the site that we will have to deal with through terracing during our landscaping. Any recommendations for good landscapers will be appreciated! Originally we worked out the drop would be about 1.3m but that was before the built it up a bit further into the site. At least we don't have to add a lot of steps to our back deck any more which was originally going to be needed. You will need 2+ consecutive visits for the piers, footings & slabs Reo & Pour. Don't bother turning up the day of or after the pour as it's too late then to rectify mistakes hth Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs SJD Homes - Caversham 3 customised 16Jan 03, 2018 12:42 pm StructuralBIMGuy BTW how far away is your block? The sun is still up this time of year. The inspection is scheduled for the day before the pour. Oh and the pour is only planned 23 Jan. They start the work for it on 15 Jan. Thanks for all the input! Re: SJD Homes - Caversham 3 customised 17Jan 03, 2018 12:56 pm TheWaitingGame The inspection is scheduled for the day before the pour And there is often the problem I've never seen a building inspector stop a concrete pour to rectify steel reinforcement if the work is (delayed) inspected the day of the pour It costs thousands to clean out the concrete truck when the contents have to be dumped to be fair on all parties the inspection should always be done several days before and prior notice given Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Re: SJD Homes - Caversham 3 customised 18Jan 03, 2018 12:59 pm How many days before the pour should the inspection take place? Re: SJD Homes - Caversham 3 customised 19Jan 03, 2018 1:02 pm 2 days, as the day before could be pm or afternoon the guys on site finish at 3.00pm generally pour concrete 6.30 am the next day Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Re: SJD Homes - Caversham 3 customised 20Jan 03, 2018 1:03 pm Thanks for the advice!
