You must be excited!! https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Build - PCI Tomorrow! 1750Jul 20, 2017 5:07 pm Overall PCI went well. They hadn't had the painters back in to do all the touch ups, so there were blue dots everywhere which made it hard to see any additional issues, but they had picked up all the main things I'd noticed plus a few mores. We had a walk around before they got there, only new issues found was the brick under the window frame which they will fix (was hard spot too, it was hiding under the seal). Didn't really go into great detail, I've kept an eye on the build so there was no major issues... questioned a few things, reminded them of a few things.. they were really good about agreeing to fix whatever we want. It was exciting as the house looks done.. and I can imagine myself living there. Things to be fixed: Cabinetry under kitchen sink cracked - to be fixed End panel in laundry spray painted - to be fixed No heating vent in kitchen - apparently the heating people actually decide this and the builder shouldn't have given me an option Check heating vent in bathroom - missing, see above Powerpoint in WIR is in the wrong spot - actually it is there, I didn't look close enough XD Powerpoint in en suite is on the wrong side - IGNORE Recycled water tap is missing - apparently no one in the estate ended up with it TV antenna - DONE Rangehood ducted outside - reminded, they will ensure this is done when rangehood goes in Privacy locks to bathroom and toilet missing - forgot to check, but builder will look at it (so not an issue) Wardrobe doors incorrect - actually not what I expected, but might even be better, they do seem to be good quality just need to be painted Crooked panel on end of kitchen bench - not going to fix, as more likely to do more damage Section where dishwasher is to go, skirting, tiling and under bench cover - builder was really unhappy with this work and will get it fixed as sink wasn't properly put in ether Eaves under porch covered in marks - will be repainted Paint the wood pieces on sidelight near front door - will be painted Screw through frame near front door - will be fixed Brick cut short on window frame - will be fixed Gas pipe not connected - will make sure is fixed Glue on back of bench in kitchen - will be fixed Garage external door - to be painted and garage to be repainted inside Bathroom mirrors to be sealed - to be done Builder said 1 to 2 weeks until house is ready, cheque should be ready next week sometime He will call me early next week to confirm handover. So.. this is it, I'm about to move in!! Left to do list Internal - HWS - Appliances - Split system (outside bit only) External - Levelling/site clean Fix Defects CLEAN THE PLACE!! New things since I was last there, was alarm system, TV antenna, finished render, NBN box.. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Build - PCI Tomorrow! 1752Jul 20, 2017 5:14 pm The cream is Grey Pebble and the pillars are Drive Time. It's funny because the fence looks more white, while the wall looks more cream. I'm really happy with the colours though D I keep thinking like 'next time I would have added lights to the pillars' or 'I would have had exposed aggregate'. The driveway annoys me a little, I wish it was a darker colour actually... might try sealing it and see if that helps. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Build - PCI Tomorrow! 1756Jul 20, 2017 5:39 pm It looks great! Must be such a relief to get it out the way and now the countdown to keys can begin!
